The Bundi Haveli Hotel is one of those charming little hotels that make staying in a place much more enjoyable. Just because you stay here is it worth a visit to Bundi. The building is a typical construction of this area of ​​India, the so-called Havelis, old multi-storey palaces and few rooms that are distributed around a central courtyard, very much in the style of Moroccan rihads.

Surrounded by a paradise setting, the Nilaveli Crystal Blue Hotel is a great option to explore the east coast of Sri Lanka and the beautiful town of Trincomalee. The environment is spectacular, of those sites that convey a special calm. The enclosure itself is a large garden with lush plants and flowers, huge trees in whose shade you can have tea and read a book and open spaces where you can walk at sunset.

Where to sleep in Pushkar, Mama Luna Guesthouse Pushkar may be the place that best represents the spirit of the “shanti shanti”, or the “tranqui trunk” to understand us. Here we have stayed at the Mama Luna hotel, which is a clear example of this way of life of peace and relaxation. The first thing we found was an altar next to the reception, a place to pray and isolate yourself in your thoughts.

In our passage through the historic city of Anuradhapura we have stayed at the Thilaka Holiday Home. Actually they are two different buildings, and we spent one night in each of them. The first is of those hotels where you would spend a complete vacation. We stayed in a huge room, with TV, air conditioning and extremely comfortable beds.

Anyone who has been in India for more than 2 weeks will need one thing: relax. And as soon as we had the chance to spend a few days in a resort in the Pushkar desert, we didn't think twice: peace and silence ... here we go! The Royal Safary Camp is located a few km from Pushkar but the change is brutal: we leave the horns for the crickets and the cries of the vendors for the singing of the birds ... that has been good for us!

In the middle of the pleasant historic center of Jodhpur is this wonderful little castle built in 1837 and today gives rise to two of the city's coolest hotels. We stayed at the "little brother", the Haveli Inn Pal, which is also managed by the family's little brother.

We arrived at Jaisalmer early in the morning and luckily at the station we were waiting for our pick up to take us to the Mystic Jaisalmer Hotel. This beautiful hotel is located at the foot of the imposing fort of the city and its design and colors are perfect to let you transport in time. They let us rest for a few hours in the bedroom before our room was ready, and this is a bedroom!

The Pyrenees were waiting for us in Agra! It is not because we noticed in the bones the cool of the night on the train, but because Kamal was waiting for us in his Homestay: "Pyrenees". Why the name? Because he is passionate about the mountain of and of Europe, so the name comes to his hair. In Agra these types of accommodation (Homestay) are characteristic, in the owner's own house.

After two long nights at airports, first that of Malpensa and then that of Jeddha, we finally arrived in Delhi. What we most wanted right now was a bed, and none better than that of the Smyle Inn, big as her own. It is located in Main Bazar, in the area of ​​Paharganj (the backpackers favorite), a short walk from the New Delhi train station.

Probably if you are planning a trip to Sri Lanka you have to stay some night to sleep in its capital: Colombo. In that case we suggest you take a look at the Clock Inn, an affordable accommodation with all the comforts. The Clock Inn is located in Colombo 03, about 6 km from Pettah Central Station (buses and trains).

Our first hotel in Rajasthan was the Pearl Palace, which is not just any hotel: it is a gem! As soon as we saw our room we thought: “Wow! This is for us?!". It's been a long time since we stepped on such a beautiful place full of details ... and our room must be that of the elephant: because the head of the bed was full of elephants!

The newly named Hotel Kanda Uda, former Hotel Kandy Paris, is a beautiful hotel with certain Parisian airs in a large villa in Kandy. The decoration somewhat reminds of the French capital and the type of construction falls outside the norm in Sri Lanka. The location is very good, a few meters from the lake, on a hill, from where you get very beautiful views.

Wow, we were left with our mouths open when we saw that in this hotel we would sleep the first night of our passage through Bundi. From outside it looks like the white house: it is an immense mansion, with a dome and everything, surrounded by gardens with statues, fountains and flowers. And this luxury is maintained in every corner of the hotel, the reception is impressive, you could play a game of cricket and there would be room for a step, the corridors with huge windows, sculptures, old paintings and family portraits, and the rooms with those details that make the stay super comfortable.

Taking advantage of the visit of Rober's sister, Patri and her boyfriend Giacomo, we took our backpack bag out of our backpack and went to Phuket, south of Thailand, to spend some great days in two of the hotels that Novotel has in the island. Checking out the Novotel Surin cost us a lot, not because of the employees, who did their job well and quickly, but because we were so comfortable that we came to consider hiding in the closet, mimicking the pots or climbing a palm tree ... All in order not to leave. But it would have given us some trouble.

"Land in sight!" We already saw the green cliffs of the south island in front of us from the ferry. After almost 5 months touring the north island, the least favorite of backpackers, and with 5,000 kiwikymeters in our Tapotupotu (that's how we baptized the van, although I'm rethinking calling it Alien ...), we are presented with a new adventure ... The south island ... is coming!

It was the first time we went to the Gili Islands, among the three we chose Trawangan for being the one that offered the most services and accommodation. And we do not regret it at all, much of it is the place where we stayed, the Martas Hotel. Here we spend 3 days enjoying the island, its sunsets and beaches, snorkeling, restaurants and bike routes.

What is the first thing you want to see on your visit to Rome? Don't tell me you still don't know! We do know ... the Colosseum!
