Anyone who has been in India for more than 2 weeks will need one thing: relax. And as soon as we had the chance to spend a few days in a resort in the Pushkar desert, we didn't think twice: peace and silence ... here we go! The Royal Safary Camp It is located a few km from Pushkar but the change is brutal: we leave the horns for the crickets and the cries of the sellers for the song of the birds ... that has been good for us!

The resort consists of 11 shops, arranged around a central garden with fruit trees, flowers, orchards and some clueless peacock. The first night we enjoyed a festival of traditional dances where, although we did not dare to dance, we had a pleasant time! There was also a “slot machine” that from so close impressed us so much! We had a good time and took the opportunity to warm ourselves to the side of a bonfire.

We use these hours of peace to read, relax, improvise new routes and write some pending posts… come on, we have recharged the batteries to the fullest!

The staff is very friendly, they always try to help you and make your stay as pleasant as possible. We also tried the food and it was very tasty: paneer pakora (some cheese croquettes), dhal (lentil curry) and malai kofta (potato dumplings, bread and cheese with a delicious sauces). And to lower the food nothing better than a walk in the garden, where you can take all the jump you want (without tuktuks in between), or you may even cross with a camel, because they also organize safaris with this nice animal.
