The Govipala Cottage It has been our base to visit the cities of Dambulla, Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa.
The site is one of those that have a special charm: located on the banks of a lake Beautiful, the Govipala is managed by super nice and friendly people, something that is much appreciated!
Our room, triple had comfortable beds, television, bathroom and a huge window from where a lot of natural light entered, also on the porch there are sun loungers where you can relax or read a good book.
The Govipala enclosure is huge, full of plants, flowers and one of our favorite things: hammocks! And at night is when the magic begins: the lights of the stars add those of one hundred fireflies ... incredible!
And in the morning? Nothing better than a sunrise piece by the lake, possibly one of the best of our lives ... a good way to start Lety's birthday! And to top it off, at breakfast they brought us cake and chocolate to celebrate it…. How big!
