Every time we can, we escape for a little while in New York, and we always try to try several places where we can have a good breakfast, without having to spend a pasture. So if you are looking for places to have breakfast in New York (good and cheap), you're in luck, let's tell you 10!

There are several “Matto Espresso” stores throughout the city and they make a very good deal: here everything costs $ 2. So you can have a coffee and a companion (sweet or savory pastries) for $ 4. Not bad, huh?

A lifelong diner, not especially pretty (much less glamorous) but who wants glamor when you can have a plate of pancakes with sausages and coffee for $ 7.95? I have it clear: spicy pancakes all my life.

They say they eat here the best cupcakes in New York, so it is an excellent idea to stop by, buy a couple of cupcakes and eat them in a city park. Price: $ 3.75 approx. We tried the Peanut Butter Nutella and Samoa, both very rich (but heavy).

The typical breakfast in New York is coffee + bagelIf the street cart option does not convince you or you want to try some more elaborate bagels, we discovered a very good place (we had it right next to the house): Bagels & Schmear!

And if we have decided to be somewhat more generous with the national sport of "dropping tickets", there are options for breakfast (although not quite cheap) like this one. At Cafeteria Andrew you can take a Coffee and cake for about $ 8, or by $ 13 opt for a combo Very energetic that includes coffee, orange juice, pancake or waffel, 1 egg and ham or bacon. Do not worry about the line, because in New York you will burn everything by walking.

It is not an especially cheap place, but have breakfast here (or better make a brunch) is a recommended experience, especially on Sunday, after attending a Gospel Mass in a Harlem Church. We tested the fried chicken with waffel, that despite being a peculiar combination for our palates, we loved it 😉 The price, as we already anticipated, is high: 17,5$! But this is New York City, babe 😉

There are hundreds of specialized donut stores and those donuts, which you saw so many times in the hand of Homer Simpson, are something to have breakfast in New York at least once. They are not healthy, but rich and cheap yes! One of our favorite places is the Peter Pan Donuts, in Greenpoint (Brooklyn), although if you get caught out of hand (likely), a good option is The Donut Pub, which opens 24 hours, 7 days a week and has a huge variety of donuts. (Price: $ 2.25-3).

Of course, a cheap way to have breakfast in New York is to enter a 7 eleven and get yourself a coffee / tea / juice and a bollito / burrito / loquesea. For about $ 5 you will have guaranteed food and drink. Check out their special offers, because they usually have free coffees, discounts with the app, etc.

Ohhh God knows the Deli! These small stores, spread almost everywhere, can save your life on more than one occasion. For breakfast they always offer coffee, bagels, snacks and pastries. But they are very good to eat too.

This is the simplest and most used option: the coffee carts, bagels, donuts… that you will find in the streets of New York. Small coffee (not that small) costs $ 1-1.25 while cheese cream bagels are around $ 1.5. It is one of the best plans for breakfast in New York in good weather, since you can buy them and eat them in a park or small square. We always went to the square in front of the Flatiron Building, in Madison Square Park, which has tables and chairs.
