With The Angels It was not love at first sight. Not even second. Not to last. But the city from the Griffith Observatory is a wonder (nd). We liked Venice Beach. And stepping on the Santa Monica pier after touring Route 66 was very cool. Hey, in the end the trip to Los Angeles was not so bad. 21. To take good pictures of the city go up to Observation Deck of the City Hall, it's free and from its 27th floor you will have the city at your feet.

We did it in HI Santa Monica a few minutes walk from the famous pier. The site is beautiful and they are also reforming and improving it. There is free breakfast and as in all HI hostels there are always many interesting activities to sign up for (pub crawls, Venice Beach tour and much more!).

:: How to get to Los Angeles from the airport?

There are several options, the cheapest is the subway. There is a free shuttle (“G”) that connects the airport with the “Aviation Station” stop (green line).

:: How to get around The Angels?

If you travel by car you can move everywhere ... even be prepared for traffic jams! If instead you prefer to use buses or metro there is a daily pass of $ 7 that allows you to take all the means of transport you want. The individual price is $ 1.75 (beware: to this we must add the price of the rechargeable TAP card, $ 1 that you only pay 1 time).
