The first Bolognese gastronomic stop was at the old Osteria dell'Orsa that welcomed us for a super dinner. We had already gossiped the menu on the web and were impatient to blow our teeth in their specialty, tagliatelle al ragú and be amazed by other typical delicacies of Emilia Romagna, the province of Bologna.

The first thing that attracts attention is the atmosphere so characteristic of osteria: the wooden tables are so close together that when you sit down, you become part of the family next door, or the group of students who are having a happy dinner And in this lies the essence of the place!

More than a restaurant seems to be in your dining room, it is impossible not to feel comfortable in such a cozy place. In addition the waiters are very majetes and they advise you at all times, both the specialties and any other menu item.

We chose to try two starters: crostone dotto and crescentina emiliana. And two first: the tagliatelle (of course!) And a dish of the menu of the day, the tortelloni di ricotta with prezzemolo and rustic pesto. Now that we see the photos, it makes its mouth water again.

Crostone is a kind of toast (or torrada) with several ingredients to choose from. We opted for the “Dotto” that carries typical ragout from Bologna and cheese. A success! It was delicious!

We were also advised to try the crescentina, a fried and stuffed “focaccia”, which in our case carried prosciutto di Parma (the good ham is also found in Italy) and mozzarella. Mmm! Very good.

And it was time for the first: my mother, what a delight! The tortelloni were dead. The stuffing of cottage cheese and parsley, accompanied by the rustic pesto of the sauce was amazing. We will be passionate about everything that has stuffing relleno

Just as good were the tagliatelle with ragout. De-li-cio-sas! All the pasta that is cooked in the Osteria is 100% handmade and freshly made, and go if it shows, we had not eaten such rich pasta dishes for a long time (obviously the DIA pasta is not up to hehe).

Come on, we are delighted at the Osteria dell'Orsa: now we understand why it is one of the sites that every bolognese recommends! Both his specialties and the treatment of the staff are extraordinary!

Many thanks to Fabio for opening the doors of this wonderful site! It has been a pleasure to meet you!
