Mount Lavinia is the beach refuge for the inhabitants, workers and tourists of Colombo. We did not want to miss the opportunity to meet her and we went to this corner of Sri Lanka where we spent 3 nights in the Ivory Inn.
The Ivory Inn is a very nice hotel, has double rooms and clean, well-kept bedrooms with a great location: it is located about 100 meters from the beach! The rooms also have a balcony from which to see sunsets (or in our case thunderstorms ... we didn't have good luck with the weather!).
In the hotel at night but in the morning they serve a very rich breakfast; You can choose between European breakfast and Sinhala breakfast, we tried both and we stayed with the last: start the day with lentil dhal, coconut roti, chicken curry and sambal is priceless :). Around there are many hotels with restaurants and little bars where you can have a drink.
The staff was very friendly, always aware that everything went well. Also in the restaurant area there are board games and books and you can have a good time.
Tip: if you need Wi-Fi in the room, comment at check-in, as there is a room where the signal does not arrive.
