Day 16: BALI - UBUD

Today we can get up later. We finally have no alarm clock. Today is our first “free” day since we are in Balibut with things what to see in Ubud There is, we believe that this moment of relaxing in bed will not last long.
At the end at 6 in the morning we were already with our eyes open. We've been in bed for a while, just to be. Which we haven't done since we arrived in Indonesia. And it has been a great luxury.
About 8 o'clock we have gone to breakfast and as always we have become purple and have charged energy for the whole day.

Today we plan to go for a walk through rice fields near Ubud and then tour the town without further ado.
At 9.30 we ask the transfer of the Bebek Tepi Sawah Restaurant & Villas to leave us on the street where the walk “begins” and we begin to see a change in Ubud.

It is still touristy, but it is not too much. This part is much quieter and we meet few tourists.

We have had bad luck with coming these days, since in most places where we have been they have already picked the harvest, so it is not seen with the green of the postcards to which we are accustomed to Indonesia.
But looking at the positive side, having so much water the terraces, have an impressive contrast and give a lot of play in the photos.

We are walking and almost without realizing it we have been walking for more than 1 hour.

Time flies by and when we arrive Ubud, we find the main street, still thinking that we had a long way to go.

Once in the center, we will change money for the days we still have to spend in Lombok and stop on a terrace to have something fresh.

Today it is quite hot and there is a lot of humidity, so it is heavy to walk too much.

Before eating we decided to take a walk through the streets of Ubud, it shows that we are more accustomed. The day we arrived we did not stop taking photos and stopping everywhere.
Now we stop more in the stores and take advantage of entering the market to make some purchases.

We ended up eating at the Café des Artistes de Ubud Tomi recommended.
We have eaten a Cordon Bleu (huge and with a lot of side dishes) and a Sate Ayam, plus a cocacola and a half-liter Bintang for 170000 rupees.

This is one of the cheapest restaurants we have been to.
And the environment is also very good, not as central as the rest, but it is beautiful and has its history.
We are tired, so we call the hotel and come and get us.
And from here it is all: bed, pool ... shower ...

After all this rest, about 7 we asked to be taken to the center of Ubud again.
We walk again for a while in the most central streets, but we are hungry, so we try to dine at Casa Lotus. There are dances today, so as we assumed it is impossible to find a table.
We have to decide for another and we go right next to each other, where we had dinner a couple of great pasta dishes, plus a water and a coke and a dessert, all for 150000 rupees !! Every day we lower the price more ... hahaha
And we call the Bebek Tepi Sawah Restaurant & Villas again to pick us up.
Today is our last night in Bali. Tomorrow they come to look for us at 6.30 in the morning to take us to Lombok.
