Day 16: STONE TOWN - DAR ES SALAAM - LONDON - BARCELONA

Sunday, November 14, 2010

The alarm sounds at 4 in the morning. Today is our day back home and we are only a few hours away from being in the Dar es Salaam airport from where we will start our way back.
We collect our bags and go to the breakfast area of the Mtoni Marine Resort, where we only have "body" for a coffee.
We get on the mini bus and it takes about 30 minutes to get to the Stone Town airport, where we will take a plane that will take us to the Dar es Salaam airport in Zanzibar, to link with the flight to London.
There we present all the documentation and weigh our luggage. Here we go with a little fear, because we carry a lot of extra things and if we lose weight, they won't let us pass.
In the end without problems they put us in the plane to the whole group.

The flight back by plane takes about 20 minutes and flies by, never better.
In the Dar es Salaam airportWe check our bags and go straight to the boarding gate of the flight to London.
Before we know it, we are on the plane, back to Spain ...
We spend almost 11 hours without realizing, of fatigue, we have only woken up at mealtimes.
I think that's why I arrived with my stomach as I arrived. At the airport in Barcelona I hardly had the pain I had.
Roger had time to watch 3 movies, read, look at photos ... However, he only gave me time to eat.
We arrive in London and those who fly to Barcelona have a 2-hour stopover and something, which we kill in a cafeteria and in the shops of the same airport.
There is little left for boarding time and we say goodbye to the rest of the group, exchanging emails, to keep in touch.
We fly from London to Barcelona without problems and in 2 hours we are landing in El Prat.
And with that landing we end our first contact with Black Africa. That we had always wanted to know and that we have finally stepped on. We've got the best of her ...
Definitely a trip to repeat ...

We are going to the quiet parking lot, thinking about what we have left behind and what is to come.

We have in mind the trips next year ...
