Day 24: DUBAI - BARCELONA

Mmmm ... who said the scales are nice? Who said that Dubai airport was it a pass? Our flight arrived this morning at 1 and we have the following flight from Dubai to Barcelona which will take us straight home at 8 in the morning !!
The Dubai airport yes it is true that it is very conditioned, but there are no beds and that is a problem when it is 1 in the morning and you still have 7 hours until the next flight ... And on top of that the air conditioning is at full speed.
At the end after several laps we managed to find some armchairs, where you can lie down and there we can rest for a few hours, although dead of cold, until at 6 in the morning we decide that it is time to pay tribute and go to breakfast !!
At a good time I did not take a jacket from my backpack and I listened to Roger when he told me that it was never cold in Dubai! 😉
We make a stop at the Starbucks and take a huge American, plus a cappuccino and 2 muffins for 16 euros. Not badly priced right?
And then they say that Maldives is expensive ...

After the experience we have of being in different airports at any time, we have to confirm that it is the ideal place to eat anything at any time.
I think it is the only place where we have been able to eat a hamburger at 5 in the morning and an ice cream at 8 ...
At 8 in the morning our flight from Dubai to Barcelona, which in 7 hours will leave us very close to home ...
We spent this last flight practically awake by the time we have it, so we take advantage of the hours to watch movies, read and review the notes we bring from the trip.
As soon as we see that we are flying over Barcelona, we have that feeling of wanting to be at home, but we cannot help thinking that by the time we land our trip to Sri Lanka and the Maldives will be over ...
We arrive at the scheduled time and while we are waiting in the tapes that leave our backpacks we call our friends of Parking to bring us the car to Terminal1.
On this occasion we have tried the Premium service they offer, which is to pick up and return the car in the same Terminal and we certainly have to say that it is worth paying a little more for this great service.
After 3 minutes, while the backpacks have not yet left, they call us to tell us that the car does not start and that they will have to put the clamps. Let us know that it may take a few more minutes ...
Meanwhile, we collect our backpacks and when we arrive at the door of Terminal 1 of the Barcelona airport, we find that we already have the car at the same door !!
This is indeed effectiveness!
Now it's time to travel the last part of the road to get home. While we will remember this great trip we just returned from ...
Although we know that these memories will always remain ... Sri Lanka ... our little paradise in the world.
Maldives ... the ideal complement to paradise ...
