Day 7: Petra: The Altar of Sacrifices

Today we woke up again at 5.30 in the morning and at 6:30 we are already having breakfast in the lounge of the Petra Palace Hotel. The route we have planned for today is a little more Light than we did yesterday on the first day of the visit to Petra in two days and includes: Altar of the Sacrifices, the Treasury, to see it with the light of 10 in the morning that they say is very good, and then a couple of interesting tombs that we left yesterday to visit.
Today I got up quite tired and with the body with a feeling like starting to incubate a virus, so after thinking about it several times, I chose not to go up to the Altar of the Sacrifices and leave the whole experience to Roger.

After resting for a while we have set off again to the Treasury, to see it with the light of 10 in the morning, which they say is the best. Luckily we decided to come first thing in the morning these 2 days, if not sure we would have been overwhelmed to see so many people.

After enjoying the views with incredible light we go to the area behind the Royal Tombs, with the idea of reaching the top of the Treasury and seeing it from above, but seeing the number of steps that are and reading that the ascent is another 40 minutes, we have left the experience for the next time we come to Jordan. The rest of the morning we have spent visiting some graves that were pending and that we could not visit yesterday and also buying some souvenirs in the many souvenir stands that are in the area.

In the end between one thing and another we have left Petra about 3 in the afternoon, with a scorching sun taking advantage to eat at a restaurant near the hotel. The decision this afternoon is to take advantage of it to rest for a while and also enjoy some deserved holidays.
In the afternoon we have returned to the entrance of Petra, to have a drink at the Cave Bar, with a very special atmosphere, inside a Nabatean tomb, with Jordanian music in the background. Worth a visit and have a drink: although yes, it is a bit "expensive", 1 coke and a beer, 8 dinars.

Back at the hotel we took the opportunity to ask a taxi driver for prices to go to the Wadi Rum desert tomorrow. In the hotel we were offered for 35 dinars and with this man, in the end we have agreed that it will take us for 25 dinars. So we have met him tomorrow at 7.15h which will wait for us at the hotel reception.

Now we are resting at the Petra Palace Hotel, because tomorrow we also have a long day and we have to get up early. We love Jordan !!
