Day 1: Lloret de Mar - Girona Airport - Marrakech

Friday. Today, just like last week, when we started the trip to Midi-Pyrenees, we started the day early, with a coffee and sitting in front of the computer to try to advance all the possible work to be, these next days a little quieter and it is that today in the afternoon we start our trip to the Kasbah Route in Morocco, starting with a luxury day in Marrakech, by the hand of Royal Mansour, who has invited us to stay in his incredible hotel.

We leave home at 2:30 noon, after lunch, and go straight to Girona airport, from where our flight to Marrakech at 5:30 p.m.

Touring the corridors of Girona airport with our Gladiator suitcase

We leave the car in the parking lot of AENA and after having a coffee making time for the departure time of the flight, we go to the boarding gate, where they announce our flight.
Do not imagine the desire we have to return Marrakech, that city that gave us so much a few years ago and to which we were looking forward to returning.

After a quiet flight, we arrive on time to Marrakech at 7 pm, here is one hour less than in Spain, where we are waiting for Royal Mansour, to take us to our accommodation.

Marrakech Menara Airport

We expected it because they had insisted by email. But that of seeing our name on a sign, held by airport staff, at the foot of the runway, keeps us a little confused and we are not used to leaving the airport in this way.
Once inside the airport, they pass us to a VIP room where we fill in the entry forms, they pass us directly through the "diplomatic passports"and in less than 5 minutes we have ready all entry procedures to Morocco, skipping the long line in the normal steps.

Once in the parking lot we find a Mercedes last class, with all kinds of details, including drinks, rear screens, snacks ... that in less than 15 minutes leaves us at the Royal Mansour, where nothing else to arrive we can not say anything do not include the word "Awesome". Nothing really.

Royal Mansour Entrance

We can simply say that we wish we had more days to enjoy all this, but this time it is still impossible to do only a small stopover in Marrakech on the way to the Kasbah Route.
Once the presentations are made we check-in, well rather they do it to us, since directly when we arrive they receive us and they are the ones who take care of all the procedures, while they show us the facilities and the one that will be our riad.

Royal Mansour reception. Luxury day in Marrakech

And it is that in Royal Mansour you do not stay in a room. You stay in a riad, that is, a typical Moroccan house, totally private, with three floors, in which you have, lounge, a small office, room, 3 bathrooms and on the third floor a private terrace with pool. A luxury.

After resting for a while and of course taking pictures of each and every one of the rooms, we go to the Restaurant Le Gran Table Marocain, where we have a reservation at 8:30 p.m. and where we dine impressively well, served with a totally personalized attention, privacy thought in detail, an impressive taste for detail and delicious Moroccan cuisine, you can imagine that we have no words to detail the experience.

Dinner starters at Royal Mansour

We ordered an assortment of fish and prawns as a starter and as a second a lemon chicken tagine and a fruit tagine. And finally two desserts: some "pearls" of Royal Mansour orange and a dessert of watermelon with ice cream and mint, which topped a perfect dinner for a stay that we feel will be more than perfect.
