The fastest way to get to the center of Porto is to take the underground line E (violet), towards the Do Dragao Stadium. This line that operates from 6 am to 1 am and will take you in less than half an hour to the center for less than 2 euros. Valid tickets for this route are those of Zone 4 and you can buy them at the machines found before entering the subway.

A good area to stay in Porto is the famous Avenida dos Aliados, which has the closest metro stop in Trindade. If you travel to Porto with a low cost company like Ryanair, a good option is to take the typical Terravision bus, which has the departure times synchronized with the arrivals of these flights. This bus connects the airport with the stops of Boavista and Avenida dos Aliados in half an hour for 5 euros.
Other bus lines that connect the airport with the center are 601, 602 and 3M, which operates at night. These lines have the same price as the subway, although they have more intermediate stops and the journey is slower.

Private transportation, another transfer option from Porto airport to downtown

The most comfortable option is to book this private transfer, in which a driver will wait for you at the exit of any of the two terminals, with a sign with your name, and will take you directly to the door of your hotel. The estimated journey time is approximately half an hour, depending on the situation of the hotel and the traffic.
The price in a 4-seater tourism is 27 euros and in an 8-seater minibus, 40 euros.
