Another year that comes to an end, fuck as time passes ... But we are very happy, 2016 has behaved very well with us. We were able to enjoy a few months at home, working from home and improving the web, but we also had time to stick our trips, both alone and with family and friends. Here we leave the summary of our 2016 in 12 photos, a pinch of our lives during the last 12 months ...

| January#home Sweet Home

We had no idea what 2016 would bring us. We started the year in Sigüenza and a few days later we went down to Vera, near Cabo de Gata, our office when we are still. We returned from Sri Lanka a short time ago and we were looking forward to tranquility, routines, to work and to live Andalusia which, as you can imagine, is not a bad place. Bike rides enjoying the sun and deserted beaches, tapas around here, creative challenges over there (like my dear # 100 days of normality)… Peeeero… two weeks later we had booked a new trip. We are addicted, there is nothing we can do to avoid it 😛

| February #capitalhopping

Having celebrated the last birthdays in Hue (Vietnam), Dambulla (Sri Lanka), Queenstown (New Zealand), this time it was time to blow out candles (rather eat pizza) in Rome, one of our favorite cities. And the gift did not end here: we spent 2 weeks touring the capital of Italy, the capital of Greece and the capital of Germany. If Rome had already fallen in love with us, we had no idea of the crush that awaited us in Greece: Athens is ... Athens, incredible, simply incredible. Berlin, however, did not know how to open a gap in our hearts (maybe because it is a little cold, because my mother is cold!). Of course, the currywurst triumphed with our stomachs.

| March #dalealteclado

We returned to Vera, once again, with the idea of staying still for a season. We needed to write, fix things on the blog, we also started working as copywriters for other portals, anyway… we needed to hit the keyboard. And we did it. Only, once again, we booked another trip. Ops, we did it again!

| April #noscomemositalia

If Italy calls us, we will see it, there is nothing more to talk about. And of course we left. We visited (for the umpteenth time) Venice, where we discovered its richest and low cost gastronomic world, we enjoyed the town of Lety (eh, one of the 100 most beautiful villages in Italy. Fagagna we love you), we rediscovered Udine and returned to Trieste, The least Italian Italian city. April was a time for reunions: one of my best friends at the uni got married and we shared a great moment with many of our Padova colleagues.

| May #toscanamoremio

Tuscany was the protagonist of our May. We kick Florence, kilometers and kilometers of statues, facades, colored cars, birra moretti, panoramic that take away the hiccups, markets and snacks that buah, fatten up to the soul of how rich they are. And then we rented a white stroller that took us on a roadtrip through the areas of Chianti, Val d'Orcia and Maremma and Pisa. Tuscany was a small traveler dream that revealed a tremendous destination a flight away. We will repeat without a doubt.

| June #vidadehousesitting

Now things as they are: we are quite lucky. In general, I say (although, if I can say mine, Roberto is even luckier, this boy was born with a flower on the booty). After the experiences of housesitting in New Zealand we were clear that we wanted to repeat. Where? One of the destinations that most caught our attention was the south of Portugal, the Algarve. And ... yes, you guessed. A housesitting came out, we asked for it and after two weeks we were in Algoz, very close to Albufeira, to take care of two puppies the sea of majos (and some birds that we discovered by chance looking over the fridge, those birds are also lucky). They were 2 intense weeks, of walks with Tom and Pegs, excursions to amazing beaches and typical villages, swimming in the pool and new traveler projects.

| July #istriaconlospapis

The new traveling project was a trip with Lety's parents. Destiny? Croatia. When we visited it during our interrail in the Balkans, it seemed an interesting, beautiful country with lovely beaches. Then we think: “Laura (Lety's mum) will love Doriano already, since Doriano has a traveling soul and loves everything that is more than 10 km from her house (yes, for him Cavarzere, the town where he was born, is the capital of the world)".

We spent 10 days in Pula and thanks to the recommendations of our airbnb hostess we were able to discover the best beaches in the area, as well as amazing villages like Rovinj and the so-called Croatian Tuscany. Come on, if you want a complete European destination and quite low cost ... Croatia! Do not hesitate.

| August #dosmochilasenuncrucero

One day in August we received an invitation to ride a cruise ship that would go from Venice to Rhodes. U.S? On cruise? Hey, and why not? So, almost without thinking, we embarked on a little trip that took us to Venice, Split, Corfu, Santorini, Heraklion and Rhodes. We had some other prejudice regarding cruises and jolin, inexplicably we loved the experience, so much that we would not mind repeating it at all. (If it can be in the Caribbean even better XD).

| September #madridesmuchamadrid

On September 1 we were kicking the streets of Madrid, a city that never caught our attention. We visited it several times but it is that Barcelona, then, is Barcelona. This time, however, we had a lot of feeling with the capital. They entered us until we wanted to spend a little while in a flat in Malasaña peeero ... on 25 we got on a plane to Bangkok. With the Valerians, Rober's parents.

| October #losvalerianosporasia

We spent a whole month with them. We visited Bangkok, Sukhothai, Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Kuala Lumpur, Melaka, Bali and the Gili Islands. Angelines and Valeriano enjoyed a lot (although we trotted a lot) and this trip we kept some great memories, like when Valeriano opened a little box in a hotel believing that what was inside were candies and no, they were not XD candies, or the sunsets from the Gilis, the evenings in the pool of Kuala Lumpur, the first Thai pad in the most shabby beach bar on Rambuttri Road, the crazy taxi drivers in Bangkok, the radish soup…. For the fifth consecutive year we step on the Asian continent. Will we get to step on America in 2017?

| November #digitalnomads

We left the Valerians on a plane to Shanghai (on top of the poor we made them stopover XD) we got on another one to Chiang Mai. We spent all November (yes, we live the Loy Krathong again!) In this city of northern Thailand and there we were so comfortable that leaving our floor was hard. Well, leave the pool, and the motorcycle, Moha (a friend from Tokyo while we did workaway), coffee shops, markets, the food court of Maya. Buaaaah, I want to go back. Chiang Mai, when you visit her as a tourist, it’s cool, but when you live it from the inside… it’s cool!

| December #tailandconcolegas

If we left Chiang Mai it was only for one reason: Soufi. This bastard is one of our best friends and he finally decided to pay us a visit to Asia. With him we explore areas that we did not know as Buriram, in the center-east of Thailand, where there are some Khmer cojonuten temples and where, in addition to becoming partners at the heart of his football team, we ended up riding 3 police motorcycles (eye, no they took us to the bag, we only did “motostop”), or like the island of Koh Mook (+ an excursion to the beautiful Koh Kradan… hopefully it will remain that way in a few years, although we have our doubts). We also visit Bangkok (this time we take the days in the capital with a lot of tranquility) and Ao Nang (puff, the tourist circus every day is bigger over there ... we'll tell you better :-p).

It was a total journey, but with Soufi it could not be otherwise. We will always have the cool Changs, the alarm at 5am, the snakes coiled, the "you have been fooled" and the street fight (with tuft of hair torn even) of the lady of the crepes and the neighbor above 😮 (Felipe , every time we meet something strange happens haha).

Of course, Christmas at home. From where we write now. Steal in Sigüenza and I in Fagagna. Wanting family, relax, work, return to Vera to resume our routines. And to book the next plane as soon as possible. Of course

Happy New Year to everyone. Thanks for being there!!
