The MTR Residency It is one of the four hotels that the MTR chain has in Mysore. We have stayed here for three nights and it has been our base to discover this historic city.
Its location, a few minutes walk from the train station and the main points of interest, make it very convenient. Also in the area there are restaurants, a small shopping center, shops, banks, etc.
Our room, on the third floor of the hotel, it was super good (there is a lift for the laziest). It was immaculate, almost as if we were the first to stay there as clean as it was. It had satellite TV, a very cozy bathroom, a large window from where you can see the city palace illuminated at night and a huge and very comfortable bed. If you want you can ask to be cleaned when you go out to explore the city and on the way back you will have it sparkling again.
Also at the reception you can ask all the information you need and they will give it to you in detail. There they have a fish tank with little fish that gives a lot of tranquility and next to a restaurant where you can try some vegetarian dish like this piece of plain dosa! (The photo is not stunted, huh?)
In short, a perfect place to stay in Mysore.
