That the erroneous message does not arrive to you: we are nobody and we are there fighting (and praying) so that the day arrives in which to be able to live-traveling thanks to our blog, like you… but after 3 years giving that I hit the blogger, to the networks and the blogging world we have thought about creating this and we share 10 tips to have a successful travel blog, thinking especially about those who start (and me, damn, I just started a blog in Italian and I didn't remember how difficult the beginnings are!) Here our tips:

1- DALE!

If you have been thinking about creating the blog of your adventures for a while, do it: open it at once man, that he won't start writing himself. As they say ... The longest journey begins with a step and the most successful blog with a post!

2- WRITE, WRITE, WRITE ...

It is not worth posting once a month and wait for readers to come to you ... for Google & Co to know you you have to be present, very present. Write at least 2 post a week, especially at the beginning: in this way you can take confidence with blogger / wordpress / oloquetedelagana, start to become visible to the other bloggers and especially to potential readers!

3- SOCIAL NETWORKS

They are super important and whoever says they don't lie like a villain. Nowadays if you don't have facebook, twitter, instagram & co you get lost a lot, this is our opinion! The great part of our blog traffic comes from there ... and for this to happen, we had to give him a lot of cane.

It is not worth publishing anything! Be original, creative and generous: Share content from other blogs that are interesting ... the page is yours but The main content is not you, it is travel!

In social networks there are also travel blogger groups where you can share your post (do not do it where it is not due or you will be banned forever from the Olympus of the bloggers!) or where you can learn more about this (immense) world. We recommend these two:

  • Bloggers, influencers 2.0 and DMO
  • Travel bloggers

Oh and please ... do not share your content in 423 different groups, 2 or 3 times is enough (besides that in the groups we are always the same travelers-addicted pringadetes!).

4- TRAVEL

It may seem like a bullshit but nanai. There are many blogs that write about travel but travel only from the couch. And is that it's not about going around the world, or pirate for months ... you can write about your town, about your country, about your past trips, let's go: about your experiences! Do not write tips to visit NY if you have never stepped on it or how to have a successful blog if you do not have an example…

5- DON'T OBSESSIONS WITH SEO

OK. We say this because we have no damn idea. SEO is important, It is true. Although much more are the contents: It is good that Google redirects 100 visits a day to your blog, but if these visits do not become loyal readers, then they matter little!

6- FIND YOUR STYLE

Don't be the photocopy of blogs that already exist ... you can take some inspiration but be unique: the web is flooded with travel blogs ... find your niche and differentiate yourself from others!

7- BE CONSTANT

Having a travel blog can be a fun hobby or a real volunteer :-p. If you want one day (with luck and with much positivism) to be able get some benefit from this "volunteer" be constant! Did you know that most blogs do not survive the year? Do not blog and keep writing ... it's worth it! Keep in mind, especially at the beginning, when the visits are low (and counting yours, even though what a mess haha!).

8- DO NOT SPAM

Or at least do it intelligently: leave comments in plan "great post!" or "I liked it very much" followed by your blog address does not provide much added value that is said, unless you do not run into a central blog. And what about those who leave a message on every page of fb writing the same thing… come on that bloggers are not blind!

9- DO NOT LOOK FOR MONEYEASY

If your number 1 reason to open a travel blog is to try to monetize it as soon as possible, then you have failed. And it's not that trying to get some money is bad, vice versa, sooner or later everyone (or almost) tries to do it. But what about sharing tricks and data for other travelers? What about writing your aventurillas to remember them in the future? What about writing simply because the passion you have for travel takes hold of your hands and you can't stop typing? It will be that we are a bit "romantic writers", but The travel blog is first and foremost our past-present-future space that will always remind us of the best moments of our life backpack on the shoulder (or suitcase at hand)!

10- CURSI MOMENT

Obviously I could not miss, is that we are very Latino in this: together with an Italian and a Spanish and the rationality is over. Well let's go for it: there is a phrase that we like a lot “If many dream the same as you, dream stronger”. Well, if many do the same as you, do it stronger (and best!).

How about? We know, we know, the cheesy moment is a shit but hey, in our blog we do what we want ... I said ... what do you think about these tips to start writing a successful travel blog? Do you think they are correct? We say some monumental nonsense? Do you know other tricks?
