Tuscany in 4 days

This trip to Tuscany in 4 days He took us back to our beloved Italy to get to know one of the most interesting, famous and spectacular areas of the country.
We fly from Girona to Pisa, not only because of the location of both airports, Girona next to where we live and Pisa very close to Tuscany, but also because of the fantastic prices offered by this route.

Our flight leaves early to Pisa, so that on the first day of this trip we can make the most of it. We have booked a rental car to explore Tuscany, since this is the transport method that we consider most valid for a type of trip like this. It offers you the freedom of movement and times we need these days.
From Pisa we head to Lucca, which will be our first stop of the trip, before heading to Volterra, which, apart from pleasantly surprising us, will accommodate us the first night of our trip.
The second day we dedicate to know San Gimignano, one of the most beautiful and famous places in the area, then go to Monterriggioni before the end of the day in Siena, which will be our base the next and last 2 days of trip through Tuscany.
The third day is a tight day in which we will go from route through Tuscany by rental car by Montalcino, the Abbey of St. Antimo, Bagno Vignoni, Pienza, Montepulciano ...
This third day of travel we enjoyed the villages and landscapes typical of Tuscany and of a gastronomy hardly surmountable.
The last day of this trip to Tuscany in 4 days, we dedicate it to enjoy Siena, another of the best known cities in the area and return to Pisa, where after returning our rental car, we take the flight that will take us back home.

The best time to enjoy Tuscany without crowds is undoubtedly spring and autumn, seasons where, in general, good weather is present and the area is not saturated with tourists.
