After a long time keeping this destination in mind, this year, after preparing the calendar with the different getaways we had in mind, how could it be otherwise, we returned to think of that city that we have wanted to know so many times.
We only needed to see that we had the possibility of flying from Girona airport with Ryanair, something that in the middle of August we value very much taking into account the delays in Barcelona, to decide that this year would not happen.

As we said, we will fly from Girona, arriving at Krakow at the last hour of the day, so for the journey from the airport to the Hotel Logos, where we will stay, on this occasion and for being the time it is, we have booked a transfer from the airport to Krakow to our hotel, in order to go quieter and rest to start the next day, full of energy, to visit the city.
The first full day of this trip to Krakow we will dedicate to know in depth the city, which they say, is one of the most beautiful in Europe.
Our planning will start along the Royal Road, a historic road that will take us from the main gate of the city to the Wawel Royal Castle, which we will visit, like the Cathedral, a necropolis of Polish kings.
After these visits we will cross Kanonicza Street, one of the most charming streets in the city and that will give us to move to the past, surrounded by many homes that have survived until today, forming among them one of the most picturesque streets and Lovely Krakow.
We will continue in the center of Krakow, visiting the Church of St. Andrew, one of the oldest buildings in the city, to continue the tour in the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul and then enjoy a walk along Grodzka Street, where we We will find many historic buildings and also many restaurants, where for sure, we will make a stop to take something and load energy to continue the day in the Plaza Mayor, the Cloth Market and the Market Square.

We will continue visiting the Santa Maria Church and then climb to the Town Hall tower, one of the most famous monuments in Krakow.
The idea is to continue the walk along Florianska Street, considered as the most famous street in Krakow and even in all of Poland, to continue approaching the wall and the Krakow Barbican, a circular brick defensive structure, which is located in the outer part of the wall.

The second day of this trip to Krakow in 5 days We will dedicate it to know the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp, a visit that we know will be overwhelming and creepy for us, but we also understand that we cannot get lost while being in Krakow.

The afternoon of this third day will be dedicated to making another of the essential visits in Krakow, an excursion to the Wieliczka Salt Mine, some mines with more than 300 kilometers of galleries and rooms decorated with impressive sculptures and lakes, which make up one of the most amazing places in Poland.
