After this journey in Mykonos to Naxos ferry, which we have to confess is flying as they are not more than 40 minutes, we arrive at the port of Hora, the capital of Naxos, also known as Naxos, where ferries and larger ships dock and which is located just in front of Kastro, Its historic center.
We have to confess that as soon as we get to Naxos, we have been attracted to Hora in an inexplicable way and that it has immediately made us realize that this will become, without a doubt, one of the essential places to see in Greece.

Naxos in Greece

The first thing we do is go directly to Athina Apartments Naxos Town, which will be our accommodation in Naxos the next few days, which is very close to the historic center, although in a quiet area, in which we also have a free parking right next to it, something that makes it very easy for us to leave the car.
After a quick check in and take advantage of these first hours of the day to work for a while, there are a few minutes to noon when we go out to the streets of Hora, the capital of Naxos, to begin to know it, but before, we can not stop doing a Stop at the Boulamatsis restaurant, one of the most recommended restaurants in Naxos, where we enjoy an entree and two moussakas, the best we have ever eaten, plus a glass of wine, soda and two coffees for 26 euros.

With the body full of energy, we enter Bourgos, the neighborhood where the Greeks lived and which is in the area closest to the coast and Kastro, the area where Venetian Catholics lived and is located in the area Highest, where we enjoy several hours losing ourselves among its charming little streets, typical of the Greek islands, in which we feel like in a travel catalog and where we charge ourselves with energy in which we would dare to say, it is one of the most incredible places in Naxos.
Keep in mind that both Bourgos and Kastro, are a network of small streets where there are many charming shops, among which are handicraft shops, coffee shops and restaurants. Being difficult to orient yourself with a plane, it is best to get lost in the streets, without a fixed direction and without a map, solely for the purpose of walking and getting lost in one of the most beautiful places in Naxos.
