However, after spending a week in here, we can tell you that, if the offers are sought, it does not have to be so expensive. Focusing on the aspect of gastronomy, there are a few options to eat well and economically, and don't think it's so hard to find them!

Here we leave you 7 restaurants to eat cheap in Sydney. And check out everything you have to see and do in Sydney.

* Prices are shown in AU $

We ended up here almost by chance, being located next to the hostel. And it must be said that this little room full of atmosphere surprised us! What a success. Every afternoon from 16 to 20 there are 1 liter beer mugs for $ 10, (yes, beer is not the best ...). But the best thing is that every day of the week has special offers. We went on a Friday and there were chicken wings (enooormes) to 0,50$ (about € 30 cents!). Here you can see all the special offers. Be careful because after 20 the music goes up and it becomes a disco.

Buah, if we lived in Sydney we would be eating here almost every day. The Noon offer is unbeatable: for $ 10 (about € 6) you can choose from a few typical proposals of Thai cuisine. The portions are huge and deadly! We highly recommend you try the massaman curry, one of the best we tried, we also ordered garlic chicken and it did not disappoint. There is free water, as always in Australia, so you can have a lady meal for € 6 next to Luna Park and the Sydney Harbor Bridge.

One of the typical Australian dishes are the feet, nail pies Baked that are usually stuffed with meat, and that are very rich but are infinitely heavy. The Harry's Café by Wheels, a street bar With a lot of tradition, it is the best place to try them in Sydney. The star dish is "Harry Tiger Edwards”, A pie with veal that is served with mashed potatoes, crushed peas and gravy sauce. It costs $ 7.90 and fills up a lot!

Cowper Wharf Rd & Brougham St

We ate here the day we visitedManly beach, which we certainly recommend. We had seen that it was one of the best places in Sydney to eatfish & chips and we catch one. The truth is that it was very rich, the portion of fresh fish was one of the largest we ate, the batter was light and not greasy and the fries very rich (even a seagull could not resist the temptation and robbed me, literally, one of the hands). We don't know if it's the best in town, probably not, but if you're visiting Manly Beach it may be a good option. Cost 12,50$.

Although we finally did not go, we had pointed out this site because it seems to be excellent value for money. We leave the info in case someone else Malaysian food lover walk around here The Roti Canai, with two curry and sambal sauce, costs 7,50$. The $ 4 Tarik tea, although somewhat expensive, is soooo good that he always feels like hehe.

It is not a restaurant itself, it is rather a alley where there are a few stores with something in common: Asia. Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Singapore and Malaysian food ... if you like the Asian roll, this is your place. Average price: $ 15.

18-20 Kensington Street

Another great place to breathe the 100% aussie atmosphere, although, well, it is a irish pub (built in 1914, by the way, a veteran). We had dinner here our last night in Australia and for 15$ We enjoyed an abundant and very, very rich fish & chips, and a pint of beer or cider was included in the price. Perfect! Every day they have special offers for dinner and the happy hour goes from 17 to 19. A noon between 11 and 17 there are daily dishes for 12$. It is in The Rocks, a few steps from the Opera House and very close to the YHA.
