After seeing whales, dolphins, turtles and surfers in Welligama we headed to the next stop of the trip: Unawatuna. Here we were staying at the Nor Lanka Hotel, managed by a Sri Lankan-Norwegian couple the sea of Maja: Anoma and Helge!
The hotel is beautiful: simple but elegant and chic! It is also 5 minutes walk from one of the most beautiful beaches of Unawatuna and many restaurants where you can taste the local delicacies.
Our room was triple, with comfortable beds, fridge to keep the beer on duty, wicker table and chairs, porch and a spacious bathroom with hot water. Perfect! And the breakfasts are excellent ... start the day like that!
The common areas are super spacious, well-kept and original. There is an area with bookstore and TV room, another with mattresses and chairs to spend the temple talking with the other guests or with the hosts, who always try to cross some kind words with you.
The hotel also has a beautiful and beautiful garden area. Definitely a great place to spend a few days on the beach.
