Day 2: New York: Hearst Tower, Columbus Circle, Central Park, Museum of Natural History in New York, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Rockefeller Center It's 5:00 in the morning when we wake up in the best way we could have imagined in This trip to New York during Holy Week. Open your eyes and see from the bed the Empire State Building in front of us and as the sky begins to clear little by little, it is one of the magnificent things that await us the next few days in the Big Apple.

Day 3: New York: Contrast and afternoon tour in Brooklyn: Brooklyn Promenade, Empire Fulton Ferry Park - Jane's Carousel, Brooklyn Bridge, Front Street, Jay Street, Manhattan Bridge It's 5 in the morning when we wake up and it's still , although it seems a lie we drag jetlag remains and it is that after the first day in New York, where we went to bed after seeing the NBA game and yesterday we enjoyed a day in Central Park and the Museum of History Natural, even today, that we have a day full of visits, with the Tour Contrasts and late in Brooklyn, we have not yet recovered.

Day 1: Lloret de Mar - Barcelona Airport - New York 4 in the morning. The alarm sounds and with him our trip to New York begins in Holy Week, one of those destinations that we really wanted but always, for one thing or another he ended up resisting. In this case we will start in the best way, arriving at the Big Apple in a few hours and enjoying an NBA game in New York, as we did a few years ago in Los Angeles, when we were touring the West Coast of States United.

That has been the main reason why we plan to write an extra post on this trip to New York in which to explain the itinerary, more or less detailed with all the places to see in New York by neighborhoods.

PREPARATIONS OF THE TRIP TO NEW YORK IN HOLY WEEK Last year, after fitting into the calendar what would be one of the long trips of 2015, in which we met Guatemala and Honduras, we decided that it was time to start thinking about the destination This week’s Holy Week would take us, and from experience we know that not planning trips on these dates with time is usually a problem, both in terms of prices and availability.

The trip to New York in 11 days will bring us to one of the most famous and most visited cities in the world. Even knowing that at this time it will be impossible to get to know the city in depth, we have proposed a tourist route through New York in which to discover all those places that we believe, anyone who comes to the city for the first time, should visit for being icons of the Big Apple.

Day 21: SAN FRANCISCO (Twin Peaks, Golden Gate, Sausalito) Thursday, October 29, 2009 Today we have to pick up the rental car in the United States to go see the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, the icon of the city, from all viewpoints. Our planning is to go up to Twin Peaks and see the views of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge, so with our dear GPS we are heading towards it.

Day 20: SAN FRANCISCO (Fisherman's, Alcatraz Island) Wednesday, October 28, 2009 Today we have one of the most anticipated visits on this trip, the visit to the island of Alcatraz, with its famous prison. We have read very good opinions in the forums and we already have the entry reserved from Spain so when we arrive we will only have to wait a while until our turn comes.

Day 18: YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK - SAN FRANCISCO: Pier 39 at Fisherman's Wharf Monday, October 26, 2009 We get up early. Who said vacations are for sleeping? Ours is obviously not and less today that we have a long day in which we will go from Yosemite to San Francisco, where we hope to arrive at a good time to have a first contact with the city and meet the famous Pier 39 in Fisherman's Wharf.

Day 17: YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK Sunday, October 25, 2009 We wake up early and go to breakfast at a restaurant near the south entrance of the park. Today we want to see Yosemite National Park in one day. Breakfast, as usual since we arrived, is extra, so when we reach the middle we are already unable to move.

Day 15: LAS VEGAS - DEATH VALLEY NATIONAL PARK - THREE RIVERS - SEQUOIA NATIONAL PARK (NORTH ENTRANCE) Friday, October 23, 2009 Today is presented as a long day, so we start the morning very early and already at 6.30 a.m. Tomorrow we are having breakfast at the Luxor Hotel where we find ourselves with much more atmosphere than we expected in both the lounges and the casino.

Day 16: SEQUOIA NATIONAL PARK - YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK (SOUTH ENTRY) Saturday, October 24, 2009 In the morning, after yesterday's long journey from Death Valley to Sequoia, we get up early, ready to start the day with a visit to Sequoia National Park or Sequoia National Park, an impressive forest full of these ancient and giant trees.

Day 12: GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK - ROUTE 66 - HOUVER Dam - LAS VEGAS Tuesday, October 20, 2009 Today we woke up early, excited with what will be our first helicopter flight and nothing better to release than do it in the Grand Canyon from Colorado. We have had breakfast and we have doubted for a few minutes between going back to the Grand Canyon to see sunrise or go directly to the Papillon agency.

Day 11: ZION NATIONAL PARK - GRAN CAÑON DEL COLORADO Monday, October 19, 2009 In the early morning we leave the hotel Canyon Ranch Hotel and we head towards the Grand Canyon of the Colorado, to where we have 5 hours of road that we return to enjoy endless roads and surrounded by breathtaking landscapes.

Day 9: MEXICAN HAT - SCENIC VIEW - HORSESHOE BEND - ANTELOPE CANYON - PAGE - BRYCE CANYON NATIONAL PARK Saturday, October 17, 2009 Today we have returned to dawn, as is routine in this trip along the West Coast of the United States and that We take it so well when we travel. At 7 in the morning we check out our hotel, the Mexican Hat Lodge and get on our way to Page.

Day 8: MOAB - DEAD HORSE POINT - CANYONLANDS NATIONAL PARK - MONUMENT VALLEY - MEXICAN HAT Friday, October 16, 2009 Today we get back early, although a little more than what we did yesterday when we were going from Lehi to Arches National Park. At 5 in the morning we are already on the floor to leave the Inca Inn Motel to start a movie presentation day.

Day 24: LOS ANGELES (Universal Studios, Griffith Observatory) Sunday, November 1, 2009 Today we are going to visit Universal Studios Hollywood in Los Angeles, the original Universal Studios theme park that is a film studio and amusement park in Los Angeles . We have the entrance reserved from Spain and as they open at 10, we will have breakfast at a Starbucks after leaving our hotel on the Paseo de la Fama, the Motel 6 Hollywood.

Day 10: BRYCE CANYON NATIONAL PARK - ZION NATIONAL PARK Sunday, October 18, 2009 Today, how could it be less, we continue doing what we have done so far in the entire trip along the West Coast of the United States, get up early. Taking advantage of the location of the Best Western Plus Ruby's Inn at the entrance of Bryce Canyon National Park, at 8 am we are already inside the park, following as always the directions on the map that you give us at the entrance, to start our tour.

Day 6: YELLOWSTONE - GRAND TETÓN NATIONAL PARK - JACKSON HOLE - SALT LAKE CITY Wednesday, October 14, 2009 Today we have started the day as we have been doing since we started this trip to the West of the USA. We have decided to have breakfast in the rental car in the United States, since we wanted to advance time to arrive at a reasonable time at our Motel 6 in Lehi, past Salt Lake City which is the place we will be staying today.

Day 22: SAN FRANCISCO - LOS ANGELES (Touring the Big Sur) Friday, October 30, 2009 Today we leave the San Francisco Grant Hotel early because we want to travel the Big Sur from San Francisco to Los Angeles, or what is the same , California in its purest form. We have a pretty cloudy day, so some of the stops we plan to make on this tour, we make them quite in passing, without spending much time since the views are quite bad.
