Today I learned the recipe in the cooking course I did in Bali with my friends Adela, Eva and Emily ... we had a great time! The "satay"Or"sate”Are the typical Indonesian Chicken Skewers with Peanut Sauce. If you travel in this beautiful country and want to try them you just have to ask for “satay ayam”. The recipe is quick to make, easy and good-and-good.

Ingredients for 2 people:

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • A good handful of peanuts
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • Sweet Soy Sauce
  • Sunflower oil
  • Salt
  • Wooden skewers

Preparation:

1) Cut the breasts into small squares, put 4-5 on each wooden skewer and put them on a plate where we will add some sunflower oil, a pinch of salt and sweet soy sauce. We let rest.

2) In a pan, fry the peanuts with a splash of sunflower oil.

3) Crush the peanuts with the garlic clove in a mortar or in a blender (the more garlic you put, the more spicy the sauce will be!). Add the two tablespoons of sugar and warm water to reach the desired consistency.

4) Grilled skewers.

5) when they are ready we spill the sauce and eat!

Variants:

- If you want the sauce to be creamier, you can add some coconut milk to the peanuts.

- If you want a more spicy sauce and with personality you can add onion and pepper.

- Satay are eaten as an appetizer or main course (yes, present them with white rice).
