Ingredients

  • 2 crabs
  • Sunflower oil.
  • Garlic and ginger paste (And now you will ask ... what is it? Where do I find garlic and ginger paste? Well, it is quite easily found in Chinese supermarkets, but it is not difficult to do at home. If you dare you will need:
  • 20gr of garlic
  • 30 g fresh ginger
  • 30 g shallots
  • 30 g red chili peppers
  • 10 grated macadamia nuts (can be substituted for hazelnuts)

For the sauce

  • ½ l of chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons chili sauce (or hot sauce)
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 lightly beaten eggs
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • Water
  • fresh coriander

Elaboration

  1. We prepare the garlic and ginger paste by mixing all the ingredients in a blender.
  2. Once we have the pasta, we will put it in a wok with a splash of sunflower oil and fry it for a minute.
  3. We split the crabs into pieces and crush the tongs. Sauté it in the wok with the garlic and ginger paste until its color becomes darker.
  4. Add the chicken broth, chili sauce, tomato sauce, sugar and ketchup. Let cook for about 15 minutes.
  5. So that the sauce thickens we add water, cornstarch and the beaten egg. We leave a few minutes removing the unbelievers.
  6. We serve the dish with fresh cilantro ... and don't miss a beer!
