RECIPES OF THE WORLD: BOBOTIE

We start the week with a new recipe (total, what you said on Monday you were going to go on a diet ... it's a lie!) This time it's a South African typical dish: Bobotie

Ingredients

  • 500 gr of minced meat
  • 1 onion
  • 1 teaspoon curry
  • 1dl of olive oil
  • 2 loaves of bread
  • 1 cup of milk
  • A handful of raisins
  • A handful of chopped almonds
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation

  1. Heat the oven to 175 degrees and cut the loaves into small pieces and bathe them with the milk, without soaking them completely.
  2. In a separate pan, fry the chopped onion for about 10 minutes, then add the minced meat, lemon juice, almonds, raisins, curries, bread, salt and pepper.
  3. Beat the eggs with the remaining milk.
  4. Remove from the pan and pour everything into a mold.
  5. Pour the eggs on top of the mold and put in the oven for 1 h.
