In Madurai we have stayed at the Padmam hotel very comfortable since it is a few minutes walk from the main attraction of the city: the Meenakshi temple.
The hotel is nice and the staff friendly. Our room was on the 3rd floor, had a fan, tv, bathroom (clean and with hot water) and a large comfortable bed. There is also a small area with closet, small table and chairs where you can work and a terrace from which to spy on what is happening on the street ... and we assure you that it is never boring!
On the rooftop Hotel Padmam has a restaurant with beautiful views of the city and the temple. We tried chicken noodles and butter chicken and they were very tasty!
There is wifi (fast) at the reception and parking where you can leave a car or motorcycle, if as you dare to improvise a motorcycle through India! Definitely a comfortable, clean and beautiful place to spend the night in Madurai
