Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, is a cultural and bohemian center. A concentration of trends and art that can be checked directly at the accommodation itself. We did so in the three nights we were at Red B&B. A hostel housed in an old palace in the heart of the city and that behind its walls used to live artists who gave free rein to their creativity.

And not only was this building dedicated to culture in the past, it currently houses several exhibitions that can be visited freely, as well as being the place where meetings and other artistic events are held. You can visit their website (below) to find out about the programming.

In this beautiful building, a few very comfortable rooms have been set up around the huge hall decorated in classic style, the well-equipped communal kitchen and the shared bathrooms.

Our room was spacious, with lots of natural light, a work desk, wifi and a huge bed.

In addition the location of the hostel is perfect, a few minutes walk from the historic center of Sofia, with many options of restaurants and bars around and public transport.

In short, the Red B&B is an excellent option for cheap accommodation in Sofia for those visiting this charming city of Bulgaria.
