Southeast Asia is dotted with paradise islands where you can spend a dream vacation ... but whatwhich are the prettiest? Difficult question, although we can tell you that the east coast of Malaysia It has surprised us again and for the moment it takes advantage over other areas.

After the Perenthian and the Tioman we could enjoy a beautiful new island: Redang.

Redang is located about 40 km from Kuala Terenganu with white sand beaches and bathed by turquoise waters where thousands of fish live, and when I say thousands ... I say thousands! We never saw so many, really, incredible. During the 3 days we were enjoying the island we snorkeling in the Pulau Redang Marine Park where, along with a few Chinese, we marvel at the aquatic life of the island: beautiful corals, goldfish and a few sea cucumbers, so ugly they, but never missing!

They say that here it is not difficult to run into sharks and turtles although we were not lucky (I talk about turtles haha) to see them during our dip. Of course, Rober swears and perjures that he saw three (one giant, one medium and one small) from the ferry back to the mainland.

Dive lovers can also enjoy good dives: here are two sunken ships from World War II.

The wonder is still out of the water huh ...

The island is very famous among Chinese and Malays for having been the location of a famous Hong Kong movie: Summer holiday. So proud they are that on the television of the hotel there was a channel in which only (alone!) They put this film. We get to see it all, but in pieces of 5 minutes each time ...

Another essential thing is to walk through the beach during sunset, when the sky is dyed in pastel color and the beach dresses up for a party: children with their parents playing in the sand, lovers walking hand in hand, beach bars with lanterns, mothers who bathe with their kids and some live performance.

Redang: we already miss you!

In Redang we celebrate our eighth anniversary: I often work to endure so much time: -S

P.S. We almost forgot: some too curious monkeys entered the room (the fucking doors opened the balcony door and they stole the enamel, the mirror and some tangerines haha!). So warned you are: in Redang you have to lock the doors too much.

USEFUL INFO

How to get? We tell you in this article.

Where to sleep? We did it at Redang Lagoon.

When to go? The best months are between March and October, especially in April and May, which heat squeezes a little less. Between November and February the island is closed to the public by the monsoon.
