Kaiten sushi is the cheapest option to eat sushi in Japan (well, the cheapest is really buying sushi cylinders in supermarkets ... but much better try kaiten-suhi hehe).

Kaiten sushi are in restaurants where sushi dishes are presented on a rotating tape. Each dish has one color and each color corresponds to a price: there are many sushis kaiten where most sushis cost 108 108, about € 80 cents. Come on, well, nice and cheap!

HOW DOES A KAITEN SUSHI WORK?
It's easier than you think: once you have the assigned site (in our case they were some stools next to the conveyor belt) you can start eating! You just have to grab the sushi dish that you most like and yum: inside. In the case that you do not see your favorite sushi you can order it from a touch screen: in this case it is also very easy and intuitive since you will only have to select the photo of the sushi you want and in a few minutes it will arrive at the table!

WHAT IS SUSHI THERE?
Of all kinds but especially nigiri: we leave you with a few photos that we took so you can see the great variety of sushi you can find (and eat!).

AND THE DRINK?
There is cold water or green tea… free 😀 Great to save some money!

HOW MUCH?
Each dish costs from 100 ¥ (108 ¥ with the fees). Most dishes consist of two pieces of sushi although there are dishes made of 6 mini-maki tuna that we found super rich. The final bill will depend on how many you eat, obviously, we spend about 1,080 ¥ between the two since we ate 5 dishes per head. The change is about € 8 (€ 4 per person).

The funny thing is that to make the account, the waitress will come to your table / bar and will count the dishes you have eaten and will calculate according to their color (since each color corresponds to a price).
