The hummus recipe It is one of the easiest in the history of easy recipes, but we go in parts: hummus is a chickpea cream (already, I know it does not sound exciting but we assure you that it is delicious!) very popular throughout the Middle East. Come on, it's an SSS meal: super healthy and tasty.
Ready to learn how to do it? Go for it:
- 200gr. of cooked chickpeas.
- 2 cloves of garlic (put more if you like the spicy touch).
- 3 tablespoons olive oil.
- 2 tablespoons of water.
- The juice of 1 lemon.
- One teaspoon of cumin.
- A pinch of salt.
- A pinch of sweet paprika.
ELABORATION:
1- We put chickpeas, garlic, water, oil, lemon, cumin and the pinch of salt in a blender glass and crush until we get a dense cream (if it is too dense add a little more water, if you want the hummus to be light or olive oil, if you want it tastier ... although more caloric, of course!).
2- When the cream is ready we put it in a bowl, pouring a dash of olive oil and a pinch of sweet pepper.
It is done! Did you see how easy it was?
Hummus can be eaten as a side dish of meat or as such, in toast or with croutons ... it is a real treat!
Sweet truffle: if you have a dinner and want to look like a little Arguiñano (even without having any idea) you can prepare the hummus as an entree and present it with slices of lemon and parsley: much nicer 🙂
BON APPETITE!

P.S. The original recipe includes tahini sauce but as near where we live there is no trace of this rich sauce ... well, we prepare it without and the truth is that it comes out good! :-p If, unlike us, you have the possibility of using this sesame paste, add a tablespoon to the mix and that's it 🙂
