Day 17: UBUD - LOMBOK - SENGGIGI

Alarm clock again? Yes. And this time with good reason. We have to catch a Transport from Bali to Lombok.
Last night we asked at the hotel if they could advance breakfast half an hour why we had to leave before and not only say no, but they tell us that we have to do the check-up that same night, because in the morning there will be no one ... It is true that we did not expect this, but seen what we saw, we adapt and do what we are “ordered” 🙂
We went down to the reception of the hotel at 6.30, as we had been with Begoña (she has been the one who has taken the tickets with the company of ferry from Bali to Lombok).
A little after 6.30, while still at the reception of the Bebek Tepi Sawah Restaurant & Villas, we had one of the great surprises of the trip: Tomi has appeared, to say goodbye to us and wish us luck in what is left of our Travel to Indonesia.
We still don't understand Balinese hospitality very well, because with this it has already been the exaltation of what we thought.
We have been talking for a while and seeing that they were not coming to find us, he has taken care of calling the agency, to make sure they had all our data.
Everything was fine, so we just have to wait for them to come find us.
They have appeared at 7 in the morning, half an hour late. We have said goodbye to Tomi again, again with that sadness in the air given by the farewells that you would almost say they are forever.
They come to look for us in a kind of mini van, where more tourists go and in a little more than half an hour we reach the area of the Bali to Lombok ferries.
We stand in line, present the tickets and tell us that we have to wait for everyone to arrive.
We wait in a restaurant, where we take the opportunity to have coffee and breakfast.
After a while, they take us all to the ship that will take us to Lombok and “the adventure” begins. It takes us an hour and a half or so to arrive, but I recommend that if you go in Fast Boat from Bali to Lombok, do not sit in the back. A lot of water came through the speed and we ended up dripping.
Once in the port of Lombok, we have committed the awkwardness of letting ourselves be carried away by the “hunters” and without realizing it we have seen ourselves inside a car, taking us to the Alang Alang Boutique Beach Resort hotel for double the price of what we should have paid.
The driver told us that he would be driving for an hour and in the end it was less than average. On top of that, he has proposed that we hire him for the rest of the days and for "dumb" he has run out of it.
It makes a technical stop for us to see the landscape ...

We have paid him what he told us at the beginning, although in the hotel Lombok, the Alang Alang Boutique Beach Resort, we have been told it was 4 times more than the actual price.
The truth is that I could not stand and I have put a good rapa dust ... at least I have been quiet.
We check in and find ourselves in a hotel with spectacular views. Our bungalow overlooks the sea and we have some hammocks on the beach: this is life!
First of all, we go around the hotel a bit and see that as in Bali, we are surrounded by nature everywhere, flowers birds of paradise, palm trees, giant potus ...

To advance a little, we go to the tourist information center of the hotel and ask for prices for 2 days of car with driver and transfers to Gili from Lombok and then the return to Mataram also from Gili Trawangan.

After closing these issues, we ask for a taxi and for 1 euro the change takes us to Senggigi town, where after walking around the few streets it has, we go to The Square restaurant to eat.
There we eat a giant sadwich, a Nasi Goreng, some fried and express bananas, Cocacola and Bintang for 215,000 rupees. This meal has been a bit more expensive, but we have eaten fancy.

When we finish it is almost 3 in the afternoon, so we think it is best to return to Alang Alang Boutique Beach Resort to rest and enjoy the facilities a bit. And that we have done: nothing throughout the afternoon !!!

Sunbathing with exceptional views, a little pool, nap ... and in the afternoon sitting on the porch of the bungalow, watching the sunset.
Today we had dinner at the hotel Lombok, at a table next to the beach. We had my dinner and a pasta dish plus a coke and a lime juice, for 170000 rupees.
We go to the room with the sound of the waves breaking against the beach.
The sound is awesome. I have to peek a few times at the door of the bungalow, to see that it is true!
That we have around us a paradise that we did not think to find ...
We slept with the sound of the waves and thinking that we still have 2 more nights left at the Alang Alang Boutique Beach Resort to enjoy this and our trip to Indonesia.
Tomorrow it is time to get up early, we go back to the world!
