Day 1: BARCELONA - DUBLÍN

Friday, September 02, 2011

Today is Friday, but not just any Friday. The alarm sounds at the same time every Friday and we go to work, also like every Friday. But after eating we do something we don't always do, we set off for the airport because we have a flight from Barcelona to Dublin.
Today we begin our Travel to Ireland A little less than 2 months ago we arrived from our trip to Indonesia but we already have "monkey" of a new trip ...
We arrive at airport of Barcelona a couple of hours before the flight from Barcelona to Dublin. We leave the car in the parking of AparcaiVola and they take us to T2 in less than 10 minutes.
We invoice the suitcase we carry and we will pass the controls to have dinner before boarding.
This time we flew with Air Lingus, it will be our first time with them, to see how this new experience is going.

And between dinner, reading, conversation ... we spend time until our time comes flight from Barcelona to Dublin.
We spent the 2.10 hours of the flight listening to the cry of a girl behind us and the truth is that we remember more than once the article we read not long ago, about an airline that had proposed to sell flights only for "adults" That was revealing to us.
And so, "almost without realizing it", we reach the T2 of Dublin, when they give 00.15h, so without realizing it we are already on day 2 of our travel to Ireland.
And just look out the window of the plane we see that it is raining, this is the welcome that gives us Ireland, after so many years dreaming of her.
A destination that we have been postponing for some things or others for years and that this year, at the end and rather of bouncing (we canceled the flight we had to Israel) we have placed in number 1 on the list.

Now and although it has received us raining, we can only enjoy this unexpected travel to Ireland.
We have booked tonight at the Holiday Inn Express Dublin-Airport, a hotel near the airport that has a free transfer, but being the last one at 12 p.m., we have to take a taxi.

Upon leaving the Dublin airport we go straight to the queue of the taxis and the first pass us by.
They charge us 11 euros to take us to the Holiday Inn Express Dublin-Airport and that is 5 minutes away, but what are we going to do, was that or walking to the hotel and in this case and given the circumstances, we preferred the first option. We already know that taxis with expensive and more in Ireland.
We do the cheking with more hurries than usual, because it is the time it is, we check the room and seeing that everything is correct we drop. Today we cannot even review what we want to see tomorrow, we are rendered.
Of course, we began to dream "in green", in the green that characterizes Ireland
