Day 22: VARANASI - SARNATH - DELHI

Today we wake up with that feeling of sadness that we have the days when we say goodbye to some place that has marked us and in this case it is not just a place, it is a complete trip, ourtrip to india. We have to say goodbye with a flight from Varanasi to Delhi.Benares, that city that has impacted us in the same percentage that has surprised us.
We have the flight to Delhi at 15.50h, so we have met our driver who will come to pick us up at 11 in the morning at The Gateway Hotel Ganges to take us to the Sarnath visit before the flight Varanasi Delhi, one of the four holy cities of Buddhism, where Buddha preached for the first time.
It was one of the cities we wanted to see while in Varanasi and in the end we have achieved it 🙂
Today we have breakfast with more tranquility and return to the room until checkout.
As we move away from Varanasi With the car, we found more traffic and a journey of just over 10 kilometers took us almost half an hour.
It seems that the city does not want to fire us.
We go straight to the Dhamekh stupa and the Mulagandhakuti Vihara of Sarnath, which is about to close.
The atmosphere here is calmer, it seems that we do not need to run so much ... you can breathe tranquility.

From here, we decided to go to the Archaeological Museum of Sarnath and we got a very pleasant surprise, because we really love it.
He is tiny but has impressive things.
A part of the background put a music that just listen to it makes you want to never leave there ...
It's already a little after 1 pm, so we decided that it's time to go to the airport to catch the Varanasi Delhi flight . But not before making a couple of quick stops on the way to the exit of Sarnath.

We arrive at Varanasi airport about 2 in the afternoon and after checking in we eat a couple of sandwiches and two sodas with some potatoes waiting for the time to embark on the Varanasi Delhi flight.
We do the flight without problems and on time.
Once we landed in Delhi we already realize that we are in the final stretch of our trip to india... this is over !!
On the way out we met Mahendra, with whom after giving us a hug and telling her our experience these days that we have not seen each other, she takes us to our hotel Delhi, the Godwin Deluxe Hotel, where we were at the beginning of our trip to India ... 20 days ago? :))
Once reinstalled in our room, we return to the restaurant that gave us our first dinner in Delhi and that we liked so much.
Tonight we return to the Metropolis, in Main Bazaar and put on our boots with 2 pasta dishes.
This time we are no longer "newbies" in India... this time we are "amateurs" ...
We have met with Mahendra that tomorrow we will not need it and that we prefer to go for free in what will be our last day in India.
The idea is to go to the market of the species and then buy 4 things that we need…
We go to bed dreaming, for the last time in India ...
