-Who are you and how did the idea of this company come about?
We are three students of an MBA at CEIBS, Shanghai, which, after suffering communication problems during our stay in China and having an invoice of more than € 200 in roaming, we decided to create our own company solving this problem. I am in Valencia, but Isidro lives in London and Pablo stayed in Shanghai (although they do not stop traveling). The head of our look, our designer, Dani, is in Thailand. Marta, the head of press and communication in general, lives in Barcelona. Juan, web programmer, and the other partner, a telecommunications company with more than 10 years of experience, are also in Valencia. Come on, we are each in a corner of the world.
- What kind of product do you sell in Kolmee?
Now we sell a virtual Spanish telephone number and associate it with any telephone in the world so that the person here calls at a local price and we send the call at a very reduced price.
- How does the product you offer work?
Simple. They call you to a Spanish number, you answer on your foreign phone. You don't need data or anything.
- Why is this company better than others that offer the same or similar products?
There are not many that offer similar products. If they exist they are usually focused only on the professional market at much higher prices.
- What kind of audience is your product aimed at?
It is aimed at residents outside the country, usually with periods of more than two months, both domestic and small professionals who want to continue maintaining contact with Spain.

- Is it valid in all countries of the world?
Yes, it can be used in all countries of the world. Although we now only offer Spanish numbers, we will soon have numbers from anywhere in the world.
- Is it profitable to have this service for trips of less than a month outside Europe? And for getaways in Europe?
For trips of less than a month outside Europe it is very profitable because roaming in these destinations is very high (//www.kolmee.com/blogmee/2012/05/tarifas-en-roaming-al-descubierto). Even if it is only 2 weeks, it is more profitable to buy a SIM at the destination and a Kolmee number than to make two roaming calls. For short getaways in Europe it is not as profitable because, fortunately, roaming rates are going down.
After talking to them and explaining how they work, it is clear that in the next trip we will do, we will count on them.
