Day 13: ZANZIBAR ISLAND

Thursday, November 11, 2010

Today we get up a little later than usual, at 8 in the morning. We shower and go to sunbathe before breakfast. We have to take advantage of the last days we have left in the Zanzibar Island.
After this moment of relaxation, we sit in the bar area, to enjoy the facilities (if it is possible to enjoy more of what we are already doing) of the Karamba Resort and to connect for a while, to send some emails and some photos of Zanzibar Island.

The rest of the group today has an excursion to different beaches of Zanzibar Island (more or less what we did yesterday).
A couple of couples have also decided to stay at the hotel and we meet at 11 in the morning to go to the beach that they have recommended.
Before this, we talked with Gemma, to order the food we will have at noon.
She has already told us, that since they have another way of “working”, she prefers that we take care of what we will eat in the morning, to make sure that at 2 we will have it ready.
About 11 we set off, the landscape of Zanzibar Island What we see is spectacular and that makes us take 1 hour and a half to travel just over 2 kilometers.

We are stopping at every moment taking photos, approaching the water, watching corals ... it is spectacular.

In the end we arrived at the beach and we only have time to stop for a while ... it has given us time to eat, without realizing it !!

The views we have are impressive and we say goodbye with that taste that leaves the images that fill us completely.

Today we asked to eat some first-class potatoes and second-class pizzas, something light to load energy.
After eating, we go to the room to rest (more) and take a nap.
The truth is that this last day in Zanzibar has been a kit kat on the trip by Tanzania. All rest without more.
And for me (Vanessa) it was even more relaxing, since at 5 I had a full-body massage.
So I stayed until 6 o'clock, in a bed, lying in front of the sea, getting a massage and enjoying a wonderful experience. What more could you ask for on a trip?
The rest of the afternoon we spent among the hammocks, sunbeds, bar, billiards ... until dinner time.
Dinner as always is very complete and this is where we decide that tomorrow we will leave a little later from here, to go to Stone Town.
The initial proposal was to leave mid-morning, but we propose to Gemma, if we can stay to eat there and leave later (she makes the transfer to the other hotel).
It doesn't bother us, so we decided to do that and so Roger will also have time to go swimming with dolphins in the morning.
After hitting the lot with dinner, we stayed at the bar for a while and prepared things for tomorrow.
Our last night at the Karamba Resort, in a dream location in Zanzibar Island in Tanzania.
