Day 22: DIAMONDS THUDUFUSHI (BEACH BUNGALOW) MALDIVES ISLANDS

Good morning from paradise !!! We cannot say anything else since we arrived here. We did not find another word that could define the Maldiva's Islands in a better way.
Today as soon as we wake up and go out to our terrace, we see that the day is sunny, so the nap we hit yesterday, maybe today in full sun is not entirely recommended.
While we are sitting on the terrace, having coffee, we remember the beaches of Mirissa where we were a few days ago and we can't help comparing them. But what really amazes us is that in that comparison none of the parts comes out winning or losing, on the contrary, we realize that each place has its charm and above all, each place has its moment.
Today Roger has a snorkeling excursion at 10 in the morning and I have a massage session at 11, so at 8 in the morning we are like nails in the Beach Restaurant to charge the batteries with an incredible breakfast.

As we said in other occasions in Restaurant on the Water it is great, but the one of the Beach is not far behind, the other way around, we are even liking it more than the other, in a matter of variety of foods.
Without a doubt at Diamonds Thudufushi you will never eat badly… you are in paradise !!
Before today's excursion and massage, we take the opportunity to take a walk around the Diamonds Thudufushi, which although we know more or less, it does not hurt to walk a little to lower breakfast.
In the entrance area of the island we find the reception where we have several armchairs where we can accommodate to rest, connect to the Wi-Fi or simply enjoy the landscape that we have in front of us.
This is where we find the international press every day, the different excursions we can do, the activities of the day ... etc.
At the back of the reception we find a gym room, which by the way we do not even enter;), a movie theater, where you can go to see any movie they have available, a music room and a games room where they have a pool, psp ... etc.

Apart from this area, we have the diving and snorkeling center, which leads directly to the beach and is where you have to pick up your free equipment when you arrive on the island.
In another of the back areas of the reception we find the doctor's office, which is available 24 hours a day and a couple of stores with many things to buy.
All this was taught to us on the first day by a staff person who spoke Spanish and explained each site and what we could do in each of them.
The Diamonds Thudufushi is not only the paradise of relaxation, it is also the paradise of many more things ...
There is little to 10 in the morning so Roger goes directly to the reception, where he has met the rest of the people who will do the snorkeling excursion and I stay at the beach bar, having another coffee and reading a while.
He spends his time flying, and I almost don't realize that it's time to go to him inside the island of Diamonds Thudufushi, where the spa is located.

What can I tell about this area of the resort: speechless !!!

Not only for the architecture, but for the details and especially for the professionalism of the masseuses.
I am not going to complain about the rest of the massages that I have done in different parts of the world like in Indonesia, but this one has been… speechless !!
A 90-minute full-body massage that has left me more relaxed ... even being in a state that I thought was impossible to relax more.
One of the things Roger has left pending has been diving. We will not say that it was due to lack of time because we would lie, but it is true that the days here go by without realizing it and each excursion or activity you do represents almost a full morning, so you have decided that you will wait for the next time to "take advantage" of the PADI.
Before I know it is 1 noon and Roger appears in our Beach Bungalow to take a shower, enjoy our terrace for a while and go straight to the bar to have a drink before lunch.

Here life seems very routine, but nothing is further from reality or perhaps it is the tranquility and peace that we have that we do not see as monotonous.

We return to our table at the Beach Restaurant and after our feast and today is our last afternoon at Maldiva's Islands We decided to take a nap and go for a drink in our hammocks at the edge of the beach and take some photos ...

Although being like this we cannot avoid giving some big head, in the hammock, on the water, listening to the waves break with the sand.

It will be difficult to forget this experience. It will be difficult to forget about the Maldiva's Islands and from the Diamonds Thudufushi resort.
After this break, we will go for a walk around the island and when we pass by the reception we remember that today, being the last afternoon, they told us the first day that it was preferable that we settle the bill.

Even if it is all included, the special snorkeling excursion and the massage… were not included!
When we exchanged emails with E-Two Travel for the reservation, we asked if we could pay in euros and they said no, that we had to carry dollars, even for tips.
Our experience and what they told us there is that you can pay in euros whenever you want without problems and if not with a card, just like the tip you want to leave that is left in a mailbox at the same reception.
Although we gave something directly to our restaurant waiter and the person who made the room for us.
When we booked with E-Two Travel for the Diamonds Thudufushi resort of the Maldiva's IslandsOne of the things that worried us were the hours of collection of the seaplane.
In all the forums we asked, including the E-Two agency and the resort itself, they answered that it was impossible to confirm or reserve an hour, so we should cross our fingers and wait for luck.
We were counting on the arrival, we arrived in Male at 9 at night, so we were interested in picking up the seaplane early in the morning at the Malé airport to take advantage of the day at the Diamonds Thudufushi.
In this part we were very lucky and they came to look for us at the hotel at 9 in the morning, so we were the first to embark towards paradise!
On the day of the return home, our flight leaves from Malé at 11 at night heading to Dubai and telling us that in the resort the logic told us that we had paid until breakfast that day, we assumed that they would put us the seaplane at first hour of the morning.
In fact, during our stay, we saw more than one person in the jetty area at 8 in the morning, waiting for the dhoni to go to the platform to catch the seaplane.
But our surprise came when after making the payment at the reception of the massage and the excursion… they gave us an envelope, where they told us the time we had to say goodbye to paradise.
When I open it I can't contain my smile ... 5 in the afternoon !!! We will have another almost complete day at the Diamonds Thudufushi !!
We had already made up our mind to take advantage of that last day by visiting the capital of the Maldives, Malé, but we will not deny that although we would have liked it, be the last hours of the trip to Sri Lanka and Maldives In Thudufushi, we liked it much more !!
So happier than anyone, we go to the beach bar to have a drink and "kill" the time we have left until dinner time.

Before going to dinner and not breaking our habits, we go to the Beach Bar to taste our usual fresh fruit juices and snacks before dinner.

Shortly after 9 pm, we go to the Beach Restaurant and taste our last dinner at the Diamonds Thudufushi, with the pleasant surprise that tomorrow we will repeat and it will be at breakfast and lunch !! 😉
After our usual table at the beach bar, we return to our Beach Bungalow, where before going to bed, we take advantage of the terrace and the amazing roof of stars ...
