Tips for traveling to Kenya and Tanzania

The first of the tips for traveling to Kenya and Tanzania is to be very aware that if there is something important on any trip, it is to make it safe.
We always travel insured with Mondo, with whom we carry a totally adequate insurance to the needs that we will have on the trip.
The hiring process is very easy and intuitive and also, just for being a reader of Street Travelers, you have a 5% discount.

This trip is difficult to organize for free, so we have chosen an "unconventional" agency to do so. We were not looking for anything like "honeymoon" (we have nothing against it, but it is not what we were looking for), so we decided on an agency that faced the destination as something more adventurous. On the trip we use tents as accommodation and a truck as a means of transport most days. This is one of the Tips for traveling to Kenya and Tanzania.

Our transportation during the trip

Before opting for an agency, look at everything, especially the itinerary and the means of transport, since they are very important things in this type of travel.

Purchases can be made directly in Stone Town, in some stores they have fixed prices and a bit of "the burden" of bargaining is avoided.
In the course of the trip, you will probably find very few places to buy a souvenir, but as we said, at the end of the trip in Zanzibar, you will have no problem finding details.

Bring high factor sun protection and mosquitoes.
During the whole trip we need both and it is difficult to find a business where to buy them. No why they are not, if not why the own pace of travel prevents you from going to find a supermarket or store.

Go with the "free mind." Sometimes you will see images that can be taken for poverty and yet they are cultural issues. Going barefoot in the countryside, does not mean they do not have money to buy shoes, is that they want to go like this.
This is one of the examples we saw there, although we cannot generalize, much less.

Do not throw anything from the 4 × 4 or truck, as if we were the wise men.
What we don't want them to do to us, we have to try not to do. It may seem obvious, but they told us that there are more than one group that are throwing candy, pencils ... from the truck.
