This trip to Turkey in 15 days led us to know one of the most special countries we have ever been to. Turkey is a country between two worlds, the combination between east and west is what makes it so attractive. Just to see Istanbul, one of our favorite cities in the world, or Cappadocia is already worth the trip.

On the first day of the trip we took a plane from Barcelona to Istanbul, which left us in the only city between two continents of the world late at night.
The next three days of the trip to Turkey in 15 days we dedicate to know Istanbul, a city that fell in love since we arrived not only for all the things it has to offer, but also for the atmosphere that is breathed in each corner.
On the fifth day of the trip to Turkey in 15 days, we start the route and know Bursa and Çanakkale, the place where we sleep.
On the sixth day we will visit Troy, Pergamum and the Izmir area, which is where we stayed.
The seventh day we know one of the most incredible places such as Ephesus, then go to Aphrodidias and end up in the Pamukkale cotton waterfall.
On the eighth day of our trip to Turkey in 15 days we continue to Perge and Antalya, where we spend the night.
The ninth day we spent touring and enjoying Antalya, where we made some excursions around.
On the tenth day we go to Aspendos, Konya and enter Cappadocia, where we will spend a couple of days in the area, enjoying incredible landscapes, which seem taken from a book.
On the 13th day of the trip we leave Cappadocia, to visit Ankara before arriving again in Istanbul, where we will spend the last days of the trip, enjoying again one of the most incredible cities in which we have been.

Hello, what do you recommend ... Visit Turkey and Cappadocia on a scheduled tour or travel on our part, paying for accommodation and flights.

      Hi Endy,
It depends a lot on what you are looking for. We made this trip organized, but now if we returned, we would do it for free, although we understand that it is much easier to do it with a tour. regards

Hello guys! We are thinking of organizing a trip to Turkey in March, but we were thinking of a quick 4-day getaway and we wanted to do Cappadocia. Do you think it is convenient or better to leave it for when we have more time? If yes, what would you highlight to see in 4 days? Thank you so much 🙂

Good night from Izmir, Turkey, reading your blog specifically this part I have seen that there is a small typo on the map, where there is Izmit not written like this is Izmir (old Izmir) Izmit is another city located in another area of Turkey, maybe it's silly xo as they are different cities maybe it leads to confusion

Thank you very much for the clarification, it is no nonsense, quite the opposite and more for anyone who relies on the map to make an itinerary.
Again, thank you very much for the correction.

      Hi
I just arrived from Turkey and I come with a little pity because we only stayed one night in Istanbul and I loved it,
We did a free tour that we found on this page //www.viaurbis.com/tour-gratis-por-estambul.htm?t=161 and the truth is that the guide we had was very very good and we have been hooked with the city. if anyone is interested in this route on foot of about three hours and that, in addition, it is free, tell you that they leave every morning at 10:30 from the Sultanahmet square, next to the fountain. They carry a red umbrella so they can be distinguished. We will definitely return as soon as possible. Very friendly people and we have eaten and dined in the Taksim area and the prices have seemed very affordable. There is a lot of security on the street for those who can take a little back. All very quiet and very normal.

      Hello Miriam!!
We are sorry but we do not remember the name. At that time we still didn't have the blog and we didn't keep the annotations as up-to-date as now. What we can tell you is that it is on the street just to the right of Torre Galata, where there are many restaurants. Regards!!

Hello, I have fallen in this article looking for information about Istanbul. I have to say, that when I went, I did not go with too many expectations for the issue of insecurity and I was very pleasantly surprised to the point that I want to return. The only thing that there are people who do not carry well, is the issue that sellers are very heavy and everything has to be haggled. Greetings!

      Hi UnLector,
The truth is that we do not live any moment of insecurity in Turkey, on the contrary, we found it a very safe country, in which maintaining the safety standards that you would maintain anywhere, nothing has to happen. Regards!!

What a good route! I have done practically the same route, only around, although I have missed the area of Troy and Pergamum.
Istanbul as you say is a unique city, it has a special air, it is the fusion of East and West. It hooks a lot ... For me the best Cappadocia, tour its magical valleys and of course, fly over it!
    A hug 🙂

Hi Patricia, did you do Cappadocia with an agency or alone? Do you remember who you flew over with? I am going with a friend next month and we want to save as much as possible, but if necessary, we will hire a tour.

There is not yet an effective vaccine against malaria.
The risk presented by Turkey is low, very limited to an area in the southeast.
The recommendation of taking or not prophylaxis will depend on the type of trip and the characteristics of the traveler.
You can find up-to-date information on malaria in Turkey at the following link on the web traveseguro.org (A non-profit foundation that provides information to travelers, tourists and healthcare professionals)

Hello very interesting your blog. But if I would like to comment something. To travel to Turkey the first time If you need a professional guide. I traveled many times to Turkey without a guide (with my political family) and the last time I did it on a tourist tour with an agency, it went very well, I knew things I had not known, bought in places that recommended me, because dealing with the Turks It is a serious thing (I am a Colombian / Turkish citizen) and it is better to have a recommended site. Also, in cheaper if you do it with agencies. When it is done separately it pays more expensive and many primiparadas are made ... You have to know how to choose the agencies and the guides, yes. There are very good, regular and bad ...

    Hello Adriana!!
It is not a dangerous country at all. It can be done completely for free without any problem.
The issue of car rental is perhaps a little more difficult. We find traffic quite chaotic and it may be more advisable to move with public transport.
Finishing in Istanbul is the best end to a trip :))
    Regards!
