Organized by the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao in collaboration with Grimaldi Forum Monaco, it takes place these days in Bilbao, until January 8, 2017, the Exhibition Francis Bacon: from Picasso to Velázquez in which 50 paintings of the Dubliner are shown, selected among the most important of the artist, along with thirty more different teachers who influenced his career as Picasso, Velázquez, Goya, Miró, or El Greco, among many others.

One of the great attractions of this Francis Bacon Exhibition is that it includes several works that have practically not seen the public light and that show us perfectly how Bacon was greatly influenced by French and Spanish culture, as well as great Spanish teachers, such as Velázquez, who, as we mentioned earlier, will also be present at the exhibition.
In it we will see a review of the almost seven decades of work of the artist, in which he created a work result of his passionate life, often starring his excesses, which he masterfully left reflected, reflecting the most agitated and at the same time terrifying part of the Life and death.

Bacon, despite being highly criticized in the beginning, creating disparate reactions to his work, today he is considered one of the masters of the 20th century.

"It is a psychological and strange work, which is what Bacon himself was"Martin Harrison
