In 1961 the Veitl family arrived in Roses with the firm idea of building their own hotel, right at the entrance of one of the most charming and most magical bays in the world. The Vistabella Hotel It was finally inaugurated in 1963, with a project by the well-known architect Pelayo Martínez. This was maintained until the 90s when they began to reform it, getting in the year 2000 to become the first 5-star hotel on the Costa Brava Norte.

There are different rooms, all with terraces between 35m² and 50m² fully furnished, including chill-out bed and outdoor shower. They also have an open bathroom, integrated in the room with rain shower and bathtub
Keep in mind that two Penthouse Suites have an impressive terrace of 120m² with jacuzzi and outdoor shower.
Review Penthouse Suite
This was the room we could enjoy during a weekend thanks to the Hotel Vistabella. Our first impression, just entering was to find us in an exclusive room, with a very thoughtful and careful design that at the same time offers warmth and comfort, making you feel incredibly comfortable from the start.
Upon entering the room we find a small space, in which we have a sofa, a small table, a suitcase and something curious: two tassels, one green and one red, which we can leave at the door to signal if You can enter or not to clean.
After this small space, which acts as a reception of the room, we find the rest area itself, with a king size bed, tastefully decorated with several cushions and a design head completely in line with the rest of The decoration of the room. To highlight the comfort of the bed, one of the best we have slept in.
The rest area also has two tables, telephone and control of the lights throughout the room, something very important, especially when we are already in bed and want to leave the room in the dark. It also has multiple plugs throughout the room, highlighting those on the sides of the bedside tables and we have free WIFI throughout the hotel, with a quality signal, even in the most remote corners.
Right next to it we first find a desk area, where we have a nespresso machine at our disposal, bottles of water and a mini bar with all kinds of drinks and snacks.
In front of this work area we find a relaxing armchair, overlooking the terrace and the bay of Roses, which without a doubt, is one of our favorite corners of the room. To highlight the entire design of the room in white and brown tones.
Passing this area of work and relaxation, we find the bathroom itself, an integrated bathroom in the room, with an open concept, in which we see first a small room that includes the toilet and a bidet, for later find the rain shower, fully open to the room.
In addition, this shower connects to the shower on the terrace, right next to the jacuzzi through a door, from which we also have incredible views of the Mediterranean Sea.
In our case, this concept of open shower is not the one we like the most, but we find that it fully respects the design of the room, as well as being modern and comfortable.
We just have to pass the rain shower to find the last area of the room where we have a bathtub, plus two different areas of the sink, which include toiletries, towels, bathrobes, slippers ... etc
As in the rest of the room and services, in the Vistabella Hotel, the details are taken care of to the maximum.
And after this review of the room, we go to the 120-meter terrace, one of the great points of this Penthouse Suite.
On the terrace we find 3 differentiated areas, the first one, which we have right in front of the bed is a table where you can have breakfast, have a drink or even work as it even has a plug.
The next area would be to relax, where we find a bed (by the way very comfortable) and an armchair with extraordinary views of the Bay of Roses and Cala Bonifaci.
Right at the back of the bed and the sofa we have a perfect jacuzzi to enjoy extraordinary views at any time of the day.
Surreal Suite
The Surreal Suite, with 120 m2, is the exclusive room of the Vistabella Hotel. In addition to the room itself, it has a living room with bathroom, another double room, independent of the main suite and three terraces from which we will have incredible views of the Bay of Roses.

Gastronomy occupies a unique space in the Vistabella Hotel, which has four restaurants, totally differentiated but with one point in common: an unbeatable gastronomy and truly magical spaces.
Each of the restaurants serves a type of cuisine highlighting the Mediterranean, specialized in seafood or tapas, all of them always with direct views of the Mediterranean Sea.
The Balcó del Mar
Located on the second terrace, practically touching the Mediterranean Sea and with stunning views of the Bay of Roses, it has a Mediterranean-style cuisine, specializing in fish and seafood.

Tapas restaurant located on one of the hotel's terraces, with spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea. Perfect for a quick meal, but not forgetting the good gastronomy.

Located on the best terrace, dinner at this amazing restaurant Michelin star It is the perfect complement to a stay in the Vistabella Hotel. It has two tasting menus, plus menu.
We have dinner on Saturday night and after the experience, we have decided that it is best not to tell anything or show any photographs, since we firmly believe that it is a unique experience that has to be lived without carrying any preconceived idea. We will only say that gastronomy in Els Brancs is the main protagonist, that the treatment is exquisite by the whole team, in all aspects, and highlight something: get ready to never forget that dinner.
