Zócalo Central Hotel

The first of the accommodations to sleep in Mexico in which we stayed on the trip to Mexico in 45 days, was the Zócalo Central hotel, located on Avenida 5 de Mayo 61, in the Historic Center of Mexico City.
With an excellent location, in the Plaza del Zócalo of CDMX, the nerve center of the city and in an 1890 era building, it has several rooms and suites, some with views of the Zocalo.
The rooms are spacious and with every comfort, as is the bathroom.
In addition, in the room there is a capsule coffee maker, free waters, from which you can take all you want from the refrigerators and free Wi-Fi throughout the establishment at a very adequate speed.

Zócalo Central Hotel

Breakfast is served in the restaurant, also highly recommended, located on the sixth floor, with incredible views of the Plaza del Zocalo, especially in the morning, when it starts to dawn.

Hotel Posada Maria Luisa

Hotel located in the historic center of San Miguel de Allende, a few meters from the main areas of interest.
The rooms are quite small, simple but well decorated. The bathroom is also small and if we have to put some "but" is that there is no bathtub or shower proper, so the water, when you take a shower, reaches the room.

Hotel Casa Pita

The third of the accommodations where to sleep in Mexico, took us to the Hotel Casa Pita, very well located, in the historic center of Guanajuato.
Something to keep in mind is that to get there you have to climb a few stairs, since it is in one of the many traditional alleys of Guanajuato, to which cars do not have access. It is not much, but it is something to keep in mind if you carry heavy luggage. Although we have to say that that is fully compensated with the incredible views from the terrace and the hotel viewpoint.

The double rooms are very charming and fully equipped as is the bathroom. They also have WiFi with a speed of 10 in all facilities.
The breakfast is very good and complete, the only bad thing is that it starts late, at 9 in the morning, as in most hotels in Mexico.
The staff is incredibly friendly.

Hotel Casa Torres

Hotel located in the historic center of Zacatecas, just a few meters from the Cathedral and all points of interest.
It has spacious rooms, some with a terrace with stunning views of the historic center, something that makes them a perfect option to stay in Zacatecas.
All have air conditioning and heating, plus WiFi speed acceptable, although the connection fails a lot.
Continental breakfast is included in the room price.

One Guadalajara Downtown

Another of the places where to sleep in Mexico What we chose in Guadalajara was the One Guadalajara Center, located in the heart of the city. With some rooms and a somewhat impersonal building, the rooms and services are enough to spend a couple of nights comfortably and above all, with a perfect location.
Breakfast is included in the price of the room and although quite simple, it serves to have a coffee and drink something to start the day.

Hotel Posada El Zaguán

This accommodation in San Cristóbal de las Casas is located a few meters from the most central area of San Cristóbal de las Casas.
The small rooms but very comfortable, as well as the bathroom and has all the comforts to spend several days, all the facilities being very clean and bordering a lovely interior patio.
The staff is very friendly and directly with them you can hire excursions, such as the Sumidero Canyon or San Juan Chamula and Zinacantan.
They have quality and fast Wi-Fi in all the facilities and the breakfast, very complete, is included in the price of the room.

Hotel Chablis Palenque

Hotel located in the La Cañada area, the hotel zone of Palenque. It is a large hotel, with spacious, comfortable rooms and with all the services, although the wifi fails a lot in the rooms, the connection being practically impossible.
The American breakfast is included in the price and is served in the restaurant area. They manage excursions to Palenque, waterfalls ... and the tour to Yaxchilán and Bonampak.

Francis Drake Hotel

Hotel located in the historic center of Campeche. They have large rooms and a bathroom with all the comforts, except the hot water that is practically non-existent and the cleaning standart, which is somewhat fair compared to the rest of the accommodations we have been on this trip to Mexico for free.
Being objectives, it needs a good reform, although the common areas are well maintained.
They have free parking and next door there is a travel agency, with which you can manage transfers or a tour of the area.

Hotel Puerta Calakmul

The Puerta Calakmul Hotel is one of the ones that has surprised us the most on this trip, both for its location, and for the exquisite taste with which it is integrated into the environment.
The rooms are small cabins, fully equipped, with bathroom and super comfortable bed, included with mosquito net. Amazing feeling of sleeping in the jungle surrounded by unique views. In the common facilities they have free parking, swimming pool, restaurant service, there is nothing in kilometers around, electricity, hot water ...
They have Wi-Fi signal, but this is very weak, so it is best not to have it.
The continental breakfast is included in the price of the rooms, although this is only toast, coffee and fruit or juice. The truth is that at this point we believe that with the price of the room, they should include something else.
It is perfect to visit Calakmul, as it is the closest accommodation to the archaeological site.

Eco-Romantic Villas Kúuch Ka'anil

Hotel in Laguna Bacalar and one of the great surprises of the trip. We had read not very good opinions of this place to sleep in Mexico and we have to say that after staying here for a couple of nights, we would repeat without hesitation.
They are small cabins very well integrated in the environment, with all the comforts and located in a unique and spectacular place, for which you definitely deserve to stay in this place.
To take into account that the access from the main road is about 2 kilometers through an unpaved dirt road, although fully circulable with tourism going peacefully.

They have wifi in the common areas, breakfast included in the price of the rooms and restaurant service, by the way, very good.

Casa del Mago Hotel

This hotel in Uxmal is probably the worst we have stayed in the entire trip, except for the location, just 300 meters from the archaeological site, something that allows you to visit Uxmal early in the morning, in a very comfortable way.
The rooms are very basic, uncomfortable and extremely noisy. It is located next to a Hacienda and they share common spaces, such as the pool and the restaurant, which you can use without problems, although the restaurant prices are quite excessive.
Breakfast is included in the price of the room and is made at the Hacienda, although they do not warn you that for being in the other accommodation you can only eat certain foods, charging you the rest without explaining it to you.
In addition to this, although they claim that they have Wi-Fi, the signal does not reach the building, so it is impossible to use it.

Hotel & Villas Playa Maya Resorts Celestun

Hotel in Celestún, located on the outskirts of the town, in a privileged environment.
The rooms are large, overlooking the beach and all the amenities, although it would need a refurbishment since everything has become quite outdated.
They have restaurant service and breakfast is included in the price. Although they announce that they have Wi-Fi, this does not work.

Montejo Hotel

Hotel in Mérida, located in the heart of the city.
The rooms are small and quite basic, although sufficient and comfortable to spend a few days. They do not have parking, although nearby there are several at fairly adjusted prices.
Breakfast is not included in the room price and Wi-Fi is available throughout.

Posada el Perico Marinero

Hotel in Río Lagartos, very close to the place where the tours of Rio Lagartos begin.
The rooms with views are large and comfortable, in addition to having all the necessities to spend a couple of nights.
Breakfast is included in the price of the room and is served in the cafeteria area or in the pool area. Although they have wifi, this does not work too well in the rooms, but in the common areas.

Hotel Mesón del Marqués

Hotel located in the center of Valladolid, in the main square of the historic center and which has one of the most recommended restaurants not only in Valladolid, but also in the Yucatan area.
Something to keep in mind is that in the main square is the entrance to the restaurant, but if you have a car you must enter directly through the parking area, which is right on the back street to be able to leave the car and enter through the reception. If you come only with luggage you can access through the restaurant and enter directly to the hotel.
The rooms are spacious very comfortable and very clean, in addition to having all the comforts.
Although they say that Wi-Fi works only in the most common ones, the truth is that it works in the rooms at very good speed and quality.
Breakfast is included in the price of the room, it is very good, it has many options to choose from and it is served from 7 in the morning, perfect for visiting Chichen Itza first thing in the morning or making a route through the Best cenotes of Valladolid.

Ginger Hotel

Hotel in Tulum, very central and surrounded by a large number of restaurants and cafes. This accommodation is small, but with a super pernilalized attention, and has super clean and new rooms and facilities.
They have parking, 24 hour security, swimming pool, towel service for the pool or the beach and as a detail, in the fridge they leave water and several snacks courtesy of the house.
Breakfast is served in the lounge and in addition to being of quality, it is varied.
