Day 4: Copenhagen in 3 days: Frederiksberg Palace - Copenhagen Airport - Barcelona Airport - Lloret de Mar

We start on Copenhagen in 3 days practically at the same time as the previous days of this trip to Copenhagen, which has brought us closer to one of the most charming cities we have known in recent times.

Being today our last day and staying a few hours to go to the airport, we decided to pay a visit to the Frederiksberg Palace, located outside the most tourist area of the city, something that will also allow us to know that less known part of the city, that we are Sure, we will love it.

A few minutes past 8 in the morning when we go down to the breakfast room of Nora Hotel, our accommodation in Copenhagen these days, just before 9 to checkout, leaving our luggage in the accommodation and starting the journey that will take us to Frederiksberg Palace, the visit of this Copenhagen in 3 days.

The distance between the hotel and the Frederiksberg Palace is just over 3 kilometers, so we take it easy and as we said before, with the purpose of knowing that other face of the less touristy city, which gives the visit of some of the essential places to see in Copenhagen, further away from the center.

Frederiksberg Palace, the visit of Copenhagen in 3 days

We could say that Frederiksberg is another city within Copenhagen itself, since it has its own authorities and powers, as well as being the fifth city council with the most population in the country.

To get to the palace you must go through the Frederiksberg neighborhood, a residential area where the main street Flakoner Alle stands out, which is where we could say, are the main entertainment venues and shops in the area. If you have decided to make this visit in the Copenhagen in 3 days, we recommend you take it easy and enjoy the neighborhood walking aimlessly, to know that other part of the city that is not usually known on a first trip and that is also part of the daily life of the city.

Copenhagen

If you look at the map, you will see that Frederiksberg is very close to the Carlsberg factory, one of the most recommended visits to do in Copenhagen, located in Vesterbro, so this may be the perfect complement to the Copenhagen in 3 days.

The first thing we recommend is to approach the gardens of the Palace of Frederiksberg, located at the end of Frederiksberg Allé Street. Here you can spend some time walking and, above all, enjoy one of the lungs of the city, which, like the Botanical Garden we visited yesterday in Copenhagen in two days, is a true haven of peace.

Frederiksberg Gardens

Strolling through the gardens, we are sure you will arrive at the Frederiksberg Palace, a summer residence of the Danish royal family until the mid-19th century, in the Baroque style and built in 1699, which has undergone different reforms until it reaches the current aspect and houses the Military Academy of the Royal Danish Army.

Frederiksberg Palace

After visiting the Frederiksberg Palace and the gardens in this Copenhagen in 3 days, which does not last more than two hours, we have to say that without considering it an essential in Copenhagen, we do believe that it can be a perfect option if you are here more than two days and you want to take the opportunity to visit another part of the city that is not usually seen on a first visit.

From here when it's 12 in the morning we decided to return to the most central part of the city to say goodbye to it, approaching the Carlsberg factory, located very close, and then return to the Nora Hotel, where we collect the luggage to go direct to Homemate Torvehallerne, the market we were on the first day, after going from the airport to Copenhagen, repeating again at Sushi Lovers, where we put the golden clasp to Copenhagen in 4 days, charging energy for the return home.

Copenhagen in 3 days

It is 2:30 in the afternoon when we take the subway to go from Copenhagen to the airport, making the reverse path to the one we did the first day, you can see here all the details about how to go from the airport to Copenhagen, after passing the controls security and wait a while at the boarding gates, take the flight back home, with which we finished this getaway to Copenhagen, one of the most incredible cities we have been lucky to meet in recent times.

* This route from Copenhagen in 3 days is complementary to the previous posts we published from Copenhagen in one day and Copenhagen in two days in addition to the visits we made the afternoon of the day we arrived and made the journey from the airport to Copenhagen.
Likewise, it also complements the excursions and tours that we have proposed previously and that we believe are perfect to combine with a visit to the city. In case your stay in the city is of different days, it can be interesting to combine visits from our three days, deciding among them, which ones are more suited to your tastes or times.

Copenhagen

We don't want to end this post of Copenhagen in 3 days without leaving some recommendations for day trips or excursions in Copenhagen, which can also be a perfect complement to city visits.
In our case, as we have told you, we have chosen to spend the morning at Frederiksberg Palace, but there are many more options, also highly recommended.
- Excursion to Roskilde, a beautiful Danish city famous for its Viking Ship Museum.
- Excursion to Malmö
- Excursion to Kronborg, Frederiksborg and Fredensborg, the three most impressive castles in Denmark.
