This is another of the transport options in Copenhagen, although taking into account the effectiveness of the above, that the distances are not very large, since most things to do in Copenhagen are close to each other and that the prices of Taxis are quite high, we believe it is the least recommended option.

Types of transport tickets

As an overview, something to keep in mind is that the center of Copenhagen is zone 1 and the airport zone 4, but all points of interest are between zone 1 and 2, so the maximum ticket you will pay It will be 24DKK.
  • Depending on the number of areas you are going to travel, the ticket has a different validity. For example for zones 2 and 3 it is 60 minutes and for 4,5 and 6 it is 90 minutes and during this time, you can combine trips in the same areas with either subway, train or bus.

Security in Copenhagen

Copenhagen is considered one of the safest cities in the world, although not for that reason, we must stop taking basic safety measures, such as not carrying valuable objects at night or taking precaution in tourist places without losing sight of the belongings

As we always say, common sense is the greatest security we can carry with us when we travel.

Recommended restaurants in Copenhagen

We know that one of the most important aspects when traveling to Copenhagen, is to know its cuisine. Given this, we want to leave you a series of recommendations and advice, both of the restaurants we have tried throughout the trip, as well as the remarkable things that have caught our attention.

  • Keep in mind that in Copenhagen, in most restaurants or coffee shops, you can pay by credit card.
  • It is convenient to know that while traveling to Copenhagen there is the possibility of eating in cheaper places, restaurants and coffee shops are generally more expensive than the European standard.
  • Although it is not bad to leave a tip, it is not necessary to leave it, since the service is usually included in the account.

Sushi Lovers: This small sushi place, located in Homemate Torvehallerne, in Frederiksborggade 21, is one of the most recommended restaurants in the city where you can eat sushi.
We ordered three varieties of rolls and 2 waters for 457DKK. Very good!

Sushi in Love

Skindbuksen: Located in the city center, this is another of Copenhagen's most recommended restaurants. They have an extensive menu of fish and meat, in addition to having a small terrace, very nice on hot days.
We ordered a typical hamburger from Copenhagen and a steak tartare more water for 46 euros to change.
After the experience, we have to say that although the hamburger was pretty good, the steak tartar practically inedible, the atmosphere is somewhat chaotic, since there is live music that makes the restaurant a kind of improvised karaoke, which does not convince us .

Paludan's Book & Cafe: This space in the heart of Copenhagen is one of the most charming dining venues we have ever known.
Surrounded by old bookshelves full of books and a cozy atmosphere, this cafeteria-restaurant resembles a library where you can come to read, have a drink or eat and even work in a most appropriate environment.
During the trip to Copenhagen we have been on two occasions, the first to have a coffee (20DKK) and the next to dine a plate of pasta, sandwich and beer for 230DKK.

simpleRAW: Vegetarian-vegan restaurant, one of the most recommended in Copenhagen. We arrived almost by chance and we have to say that it has become one of our favorite restaurants in the city.
We ordered some sweet potato snacks, two bowls, one curry and one vegetable, plus homemade lemonade for 375DKK.
Super recommended!

Bertels Kager: This small bakery, located in the heart of Copenhagen, is what they say serves the best cheesecake in the city. And after trying it, we can only confirm it.
On the counter they have a blackboard with the varieties of the day, which are usually about 10-15 and the price is 55 crowns per serving. We ordered two cheesecake, American and cappuccino for 185DKK.
Really spectacular!

Morgenstedet: Located in Christiania, this restaurant is one of Copenhagen's most recommended vegetarians.
You must keep in mind that you cannot pay by card and that there are no ATMs in Christiania, so you must carry cash if you want to eat here.
Although they have a terrace, we recommend eating inside, since the kitchen is open and the atmosphere is also cozy, super interesting.
The daily menu is indicated on a blackboard and is changed according to the product they have. We ordered a soup, more hummus and two salads for 175DKK.

Morgenstedet

Bastard Café: This is one of the most curious coffees we've ever been to.
Known for being a cafeteria in which the protagonists are board games, card games and coffee, this is the meeting point for hundreds of young people (and not so young) who meet in this place to play and have a drink with the friends.
When we were there was no free table and that the place is very spacious, so we could not stay for a drink, but it is certainly an experience.

Bastard Coffee

Tight: Located in the city center, this restaurant is another of the most recommended places to eat in Copenhagen. We ordered some ribs, a risotto, beer, water and a dessert for 420DKK, which we have to confess, as a whole, does not just exceed the expectations we had set in the restaurant, since it is considered as one of the most recommended of the city.
