Where to sleep in Thailand

Q Zone Boutique

This charming family hotel located very close to the historic center of Ayutthaya, is without a doubt one of the best accommodation options to sleep in Thailand. They have rooms in a kind of terraced houses and the price includes breakfast. In addition to the unbeatable value for money, the owners are incredibly pleasant taking for example the detail of inviting us to breakfast on the day of check-in, although this was not included for being the first day.
The only but, although they have air conditioning, this is away from the room and these are very hot.
It has very good quality wifi.

Nakaraj Princess Chiang Rai

Considered one of the best hotels in Chiang Rai, although it is perfect for a few days, we would say that you could take the nomination to one of the most curious hotels in Chiang Rai and as one of the places to sleep in Thailand more amazing.
And we say that for something that you will see as soon as you enter and that is that the hotel wants to recreate a palace and is completely decorated in golden and red colors, something that makes it incredibly curious.
In addition to this detail, the rooms are very spacious and comfortable and the location is very central, next to the main points of interest of the city, although being away from the road, in an alley, it is very quiet.
Breakfast is included in the price of the room and although it is spacious it does not have much quality.

U Rip Resort

Despite some of the opinions we read on the internet, the U Rip Resort has been for us one of the best accommodations to sleep in Thailand and after 6 days, we can only say that we would return without hesitation.
Located in Tonsai, but in the quietest part of town, in the area betting on the port, this hotel has everything you need to enjoy Phi Phi in the quietest area.
The rooms are spacious, comfortable and with everything you need, as well as having quality Wi-Fi and a free mini bar that is replenished every day.
Breakfast is included in the price of the room and is served every day in the restaurant overlooking the sea. They have agency service where you can buy ferry tickets, tours, excursions ... etc
Keep in mind that the rooms of the U Rip are located in the upper area of the hotel, so to access them you must climb a steep slope, although they have a golf cart service, both to go up and down.
In the 6 days, we used it several times a day and never had to wait more than 5 minutes to have one at our disposal.

Castaway Resort Koh Lipe

Considered as one of the most recommended hotels in Koh Lipe, after 10 days staying in their cabins, it has been for us one of the best places to sleep in Thailand, taking into account its location and common areas and the possibility of staying in a cabin facing the sea.
We, for availability, stayed 6 nights in a cabin with partial sea views and 4 nights in an oceanfront. Both experiences were perfect although we must bear in mind that all the accommodation is focused on maintaining a responsible and ecological tourism and that means not having air conditioning or hot water, for example.
Although they are details, it is true that there are certain things that we believe, they miss how not to be able to store water in a refrigerator and a table with chairs on the terrace, although there are hammocks in the lower area.

Castaway Resort Koh Lipe

They have common areas among which there is a cafeteria and restaurant service, with a very extensive menu and quality products, although the portions are very small. In addition there is a chill out area that really is a haven of peace, facing the sea, where you can spend hours without realizing it.

Sunrise at Castaway Resort Koh Lipe

Although they announce that they have Wi-Fi in the common areas, this is practically null, so if you need it, we recommend you to buy a free sim card at any of the stores in Thailand or Koh Lipe, with which for 150THB you can have unlimited internet during a week.
