Day 3: Dubai in two days

With this Dubai guide in two days We want to show you the places we visited and met on this second full day of the trip to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Rub 'al Khali in 9 days. After the flight to Dubai and yesterday, on the route through Dubai in one day, we approached the Burj Al Arab, which we could see from the Umm Suqueim beach, tour the Dubai Mall and enjoy the impressive Burj Khalifa and of course the fountain show of Dubai, today it takes to know the oldest part of the city, approaching Deira and Bur Dubai, the oldest neighborhoods of Dubai, where we will find that other part, less luxurious and futuristic, that we were wishing to know.

Remember that a highly recommended way to get to know the city is to book this tour of Dubai in its entirety or this Tour of Dubai + Desert Safari, both with a guide in Spanish or choose to book the Dubai tourist bus, to forget about transportation and get to know the city in the most comfortable way.

Our route through Dubai in two days It starts after working a rare at 9 in the morning when we take a taxi at the door of the Damac de Vogue, our accommodation in Dubai by 40AED, which leaves us at The Frame, one of the places to see in Dubai essential and that as It could not be otherwise, we did not want to get lost on this trip to the United Arab Emirates.

The Frame of Dubai

Located in Zabeel Park and opened in January 2018, The Frame is one of the most amazing places in Dubai, not only for being an authentic engineering work, but also for what it represents and above all, for the way it is structured and what it shows to its visitors.
Designed as a museum that shows the past, present and future of the city, this incredible frameworkIt also offers incredible panoramic views of the city, from its highest part to 150 meters, in addition to something incredible: a platform of 93 meters and 25 square meters, which becomes transparent under your feet as you go through it.

The Frame of Dubai

The visit lasts approximately 2 hours, if you want to recreate yourself in the exhibitions and above all, have a good time in the part of the Present, which is where you get the best views and you can also enjoy the transparent platform.
In addition to this area, we recommend you to calmly go through the one that shows the past of the city and also by the one that shows what is expected of it in the future and that you can see in a projection that we are sure, will leave you at least, speechless.

Views from The Frame

Price: 50.20AED
Hours: from 9am to 9pm

Although the visit can be made at any time of the day, the sunset being very demanded, we after the experience in the Dubai in two daysWe recommend you come in the morning, when there are fewer people and the views of the city, if the day is clear, are impressive.
Although you can visit perfectly for free, as we have done, if you want to have a more complete experience you can book this half-day tour with tickets to Dubai Frame.

The frame

After two hours of visiting The Frame enjoying a unique experience, which exceeds all expectations we had, we return to take a taxi for 40AED to continue with the route of the Dubai in two days, now on my way to Deira which, next to Bur Dubai, is one of the two oldest neighborhoods in the city and where it began to be built.

Deira

Located in the northern area of Dubai Creek, the natural estuary that separates it from Bur Dubai, Deira is one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city and also one of the most important, both for its relationship with commerce, and for being the place where the famous Gold Souk is located, visited by most of the travelers who pass through the city.

Deira, one of the places to see in Dubai in two days

In this case, if your accommodation or your previous visit is near a subway stop you can reach Deira perfectly in this means of transport, since here the green line arrives and the stop is very close to the main points of interest of the neighborhood or if you come from Burj Dubai, cross in one of its traditional boats by 1AED.

What to see in Deira

As we mentioned before, Deira is one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city, so it is here that you can see the most striking and striking contrast with the most modern and futuristic Dubai that you have seen so far.

Gold Souk

This is probably the best known place in the neighborhood and of course another one of the places to see in Dubai in two days. With more than 300 stores where you can buy gold pieces, from the simplest to the most impressive, such as the largest gold ring in the world, the Gold Souk is a place where you can discover one of the most widespread hobbies in Dubai: shopping and especially jewelry.
Although the temperatures in Dubai are usually high, the streets of the Gold Souk are mostly covered, so you can visit this area at any time of the day, without fear of suffering the overwhelming heat.

Gold Souk

Although we are not experts or buy anything in the Gold CityAs far as we read, the government makes inspections on a regular basis to ensure the quality of the parts sold and due to competition, prices are usually quite tight.
The store hours are from 9 am to 1 pm and from 4 pm to 10 pm and on Fridays they close in the morning.

Showcase Gold Souk

Spice Souk

This is another of the essentials in the Deira neighborhood and it is that spices, as you can imagine, are closely related to the cuisine of Dubai and where you can enjoy a combination of smells and colors that we are sure, will transport you to another era.
In addition to this, the premises have nothing to do with the stores that you can find in the shopping centers or in the souks more focused on tourism, so spend an hour touring the streets of the Spice Souk, also known as the Souk Old Deira, we are sure, it will be an unforgettable experience.

Spice Souk

Unfortunately, due to the low demand for spices by tourists, many of the stores have become in recent times souvenir shops or other items, making this souk has lost the charm of yesteryear.
The store hours are from 9 am to 1 pm and from 4 pm to 10 pm and on Fridays they close in the morning.

Al Mamzar Beach Park

Although for us it is not a must, if you have an extra hour, you can go to Al Mamzar Park, opened in 1994 and one of the green lungs of the city, where you can also enjoy one of the most recommended beaches in the city, known as Al Mamzar Beach Park.
Do not forget that although it is in Deira, it is quite far from the other places we mentioned, approximately 8 kilometers, so you must take a taxi, car or the C28 bus line to get there, since there is no metro nearby .
The schedule is from Sunday to Wednesday from 8 am to 10 pm and from Thursday to Saturday and holidays from 8 am to 11 pm.
The price is 5AED to enter the park and if you go by car you must pay 30AED.

Heritage house

This historic and traditional house is another of the most recommended places to visit in Deira and during Dubai in two days. Completed at the end of the 19th century, the property was bought by Sheikh Ahmed bin Dalmouk, a famous pearl merchant, who expanded it into a house of almost 1000 square meters.
After his death, the house went through several owners until the government decided to buy it to restore it and show it as it can be seen today.
Hours: Saturday to Thursday from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Admission is free.
Unfortunately it is currently undergoing maintenance and we do not know the date of the new opening although it is expected to be soon.

Heritage house

Al-Ahmadiya School

Located at the back of the Heritage House we find Al-Ahmadiya School, this school founded in 1912 is the first school in the city and can now be visited by finding completely restored rooms inside, where you can see the what it looked like during the time it remained active.
Hours: Saturday to Thursday from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Admission is free.
Like the Heritage House, it is currently undergoing maintenance and we do not know the date of the new opening.

Al-Ahmadiya School

Dubai Creek

This natural estuary, which goes into Dubai 10 kilometers and separates the neighborhoods of Deira and Bur Dubai, is another place that you can not miss in the city, since in addition to its interest is the place where it is said, it The construction of the city began.
Although it is not the most advisable area to travel during the day, due to the sweltering temperatures and the few areas of shade that there are, due to its proximity to the tourist points that we mentioned previously, it is a place worth considering get close and at least be able to walk for a few minutes.
If you want to cross to Bur Dubai from here, you can do it by some of its two bridges (far enough to walk) or use one of the traditional boats.

Dubai Creek

Another way to know the Dubai Creek is coming at sunset, much more suitable time since temperatures are usually much more pleasant. Another option is to book this Cruise with dinner in Dubai Creek, this Cruise in dhow in Dubai with dinner or this Cruise in dhow in Dubai.

After this visit and after noon and with a fairly high temperature, we decided that the time has come to make a change of location in Dubai in two days and we decided to find some covered place, where we can suffocate the heat , deciding on Mall of the Emirates, another of the most famous shopping centers in Dubai, where we arrived by subway from Deira, making a change from the green to the red line at the Union stop.

Dubai Metro

We arrived there when it is 2 pm and after a walk through some of its corridors and staying with our mouths open again with the architecture and grandeur, we have to look for a place to eat, this time we opted for a place of traditional gastronomy in One of the food courts, for later, enjoy a 2-hour tabletop, losing ourselves between corridors, luxury stores and international brands and of course, one of its best known attractions: the ski slope.

Mall of the Emirates

Mall of the Emirates

Opened in 2005, Mall of The Emirates is one of the most famous shopping centers in the city, first for being the second largest in the city and one of the largest in the world and especially for being the place that houses Ski Dubai, where you can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, ski lifts, sledding and a whole infrastructure that we are sure, will leave you at least with your mouth open at freezing temperatures.
In addition to this attraction in Mall of the Emirates, you can find Magic Planet, an amusement park in which the little ones will enjoy as never before.
Hours: Sunday to Wednesday from 10am to 10pm and Thursday, Friday and Saturday open until midnight.

Ski Dubai in Mall of the Emirates

There are a few minutes to 17h when we finish the visit to the mall and follow the route of Dubai in two days taking a taxi to Souk Madinat Jumeirah by 14AED, since as we have commented on several occasions, Dubai is not exactly a friendly city With pedestrians and sometimes like this, the subway has no stops near our destination.

Souk Madinat Jumeirah

This beautiful souk has become another attraction of the city, concentrating in its space almost 100 stores, which form a real traditional souk, where tourists and locals walk.
Although we believe it is a very special place to visit at night, since both the environment and the lighting are much more striking, if you can't go at night, going in the afternoon is also a highly recommended option.

Souk Madinat Jumeirah

Another of the great reasons to make this visit are the incredible views that there are from several points of the souk of the impressive Burj Al Arab.
Of course, keep in mind that if you walk through the canals, when you reach the end, there is the Jumeriah Al Qasar hotel complex and you cannot access it unless you are not a guest.
In this case, another option is to have lunch or dinner at one of the restaurants in the mall, many of them with terraces with spectacular views.

Views of the Burj Al Arab from Souk Madinat Jumeirah

After being here for an hour we continue with our tour of Dubai in two days walking towards Umm Suqueim, the beach we were in yesterday, to enjoy the sunset.
Although it is two kilometers and it is really hot, the proximity of the sunset makes the temperatures have dropped a bit and the route, although quite boring, since it is done on a road where there are not many attractions and access to the different beaches that you can see on the maps, are all private.
Even so, this route has a top moment that is going through the entrance of the Burj Al Arab, where you can take a picture of the hotel from a totally different perspective than you could see.
Of course, remember that there is surveillance and you can only get to the point of controls.

Burj Al Arab Entrance

In case you don't want to do it on foot, you can take a taxi and ask him to make a stop at the entrance of the hotel, to take a photo and then continue to the beach.

Sunset in Dubai

One of the many recommended places to enjoy the sunset in Dubai is the Umm Suqueim beach, where you can enjoy a beautiful sunset, while you see the sun setting behind the Burj Al Arab.
In addition, it is always possible to put the icing on the cake taking advantage that the temperatures at this time are lower, and enjoy a bath or a picnic on the beach.

Remember that if you want to see the hotel much closer it may be interesting to book this boat tour to Marina, Atlantic and Burj Al Arab or this boat cruise through the port of 60, 75 or 99 minutes.

Sunset at Umm Suqueim

After this unforgettable moment in Dubai in two days, we decided that the time has come to return to our accommodation area, so we take a taxi that because 44AED and with really dense traffic, leaves us in the Dubai Mall, where we spent some time approaching the skating rink and going back through some areas that we had not traveled yesterday in addition to taking advantage to go to the terrace of the Apple store, from where we enjoyed the light and sound show of the fountains.

Dubai Fountains Show from Apple

It's 9pm when our stomach starts to ask us for attention and on this occasion we decided on Tribes Carnivore, located on the third floor of the mall, just above the Apple store, which has a spectacular terrace, from which you can see the show from the sources from a unique perspective, with the Burj Khalifa in front.
Whenever you can, it is interesting to book and ask for a table on the terrace, in the front line, but if you have not booked, the rotation is usually quick and you can wait inside until there is a free table on the terrace.

Views from the Tribes Carnivore restaurant

We ordered a couple of hamburgers plus water for 170AED and we enjoyed an impressive end of the day at 10:30 pm to take a taxi that leaves us for 18AED in Damac de Vogue, our accommodation in Dubai, where we fall after a day unforgettable.

We leave you the map with the location of all the places that we have traveled during the Dubai in two days, among which are included some of the most tourist points of the city.

Yes during your route in Dubai in two days On the first day you already added the Deira neighborhood, on this day we advise you to choose to approach the Dubai Marina area and in the afternoon do some of these desert excursions:
