Paco Elvira on Lake Lucerne

I have resumed the activity after the Easter holidays with a great shock, upon knowing the death of Paco Elvira, prestigious photographer and, above all, excellent person.

During this new stage of my professional life linked to the world of travel, Paco Elvirais undoubtedly one of the great professionals that I have met, which is also in the top of the ranking of great people.

With a long professional career as a photojournalist during the Spanish Transition and various international conflicts, such as the Balkans, with important photojournalism awards, he currently combined his professional activity with teaching in the Faculty of Journalism of the Pompeu Fabra University.

I had the opportunity to meet personally Paco Elvira two years ago, on the occasion of a trip to Asturias, and there I began to learn from his professionalism and, above all, allowed me to discover a great person.

Later I had the opportunity to coincide several times with Paco, who was also a partner in the grouping of travel bloggers Travel Inspirers.

Precisely one of the great virtues that from the beginning I appreciated in Paco Elvira was his great interest in adapting to new technologies, always open to listen and apply advice to improve your own blog.

The picture that illustrates this post was taken by Paco during aLake Lucerne cruise, in Switzerland, the last trip I coincided with. And in three weeks he planned to coincide again with Paco on another trip through the Levantine lands. I'll miss you a lot.

Paco Elvira He disappeared last Saturday 30, when he went to take some pictures along the cliffs of Garraf, where he woke up after an accident. Your body has finally been found this morning. Rest in peace.
