Yes well my Villaviciosa visit agreed that the temple was closed, I kept coming to see the outside of this beautiful church in which stands out the huge wooden porch which covers its west facades, where it is located at the entrance, and south.

The church of San Juan de Amandi, according to the documents found, it seems to have its origin in the pre-Romanesque era, but the building is a clear example of the Asturian Romanesque, with some details of the first Gothic.

The current building is from the first half of the 13th century, and has only one interior nave.

The aforementioned structure of the porch is from the 17th century, and is supported by several stone columns.

This porch covers the beautiful door of four Romanesque arches with capitals that show plant representations.
